Saw a current gen mustang broken down on my block this morning. Sitting in the traffic lane, dude texting. I wondered why he didn't push it into the parking lot right loving next to him, or the side street just past that.

Busy day on 93 into Vegas. Current-generation Honda Civic with the hood up. Ford Expedition pulled over on the wrong side of the road. May have been there to help what looked like a Ford Fusion lying on its side about 100 feet off the other side of the highway. A Silverado and a Scion XB pulled over with both hoods up, behind a large pickup pulling what looked like an enclosed car trailer. Odd place for a jump...don't know if or who was broken down. S-10 pickup getting hauled up on a flatbed. Buick Enclave stopped in the middle of nowhere, hood up. Oh yeah, on the way out, there were some jackasses pulled over on the shoulder taking a picture. The photographer was about a foot from the white line, their car was barely any further. I think the open door was actually in my lane. Trip on 93 from vegas today, which never disappoints. Possibly broken down: Big GMC pickup hauling a slat sided trailer Late model BMW 3 series. Definitely broken down: Late model corolla Late 90s Seville with a missing front right tire. Wheel was there, but no tire. Road trip on 93 again. Acura sedan, early 2000s, stopped w dude our of car, seemed to be looking at car. Semi stopped behind him. Toyota highlander, late model Porsche cayenne, 2010ish I think. Retro tbird, hood up, no one in it or near it.

Bright yellow Chevy aveo, hood up, dude standing next to it looking around in (I presume) indecision as to his next move Early 2000s 3 series being attended to by what I think may have been a mobile mechanic. Some kind of box truck Toyota Tacoma limping on the highway with hazards on. edit: on the way back, I was surprised nothing was dead in the desert on 93 north into Vegas. But the city claimed a few. I've seen surprisingly few broken down cars since coming to China. Last week I saw a Haval SUV (Not sure which model) with the rear passenger side jacked up and no one anywhere near it. Also, there was a gravel barge on the river that was in the middle of sinking in a rain storm.

The last broken down car I recall seeing in China, I was in at the time it broke down. It was my father in law's VW Santana. I never found out what was wrong with it for sure, but it lost all throttle response, and the parking brake was stuck on. My wife managed to idle it home like 2 or 3 miles.

Couple weeks ago I saw a VW Lavida that had crashed through one traffic barrier and hit another. It was being towed out of the bike lane, backing up scooter traffic. So naturally they were all riding on the sidewalk. There was a FAW crossover by the side of the road near my work.
