This game is unbelievably good and I had no idea I'd like it so much... ...but the Trial of Fools is ridiculous. Like, my hands were tired from all the jumping and dashing and poo poo. Plus I got some bullshit bug where the wizard bugs' shield orbs would remain after I killed them, which made dodging things in the last fights next to impossible. The delicate flower quest was one thing, the (endgame area spoiler) White Palace was doable with some practice, but the last trial is kicking my rear end. I'd love to know how some people approached (and beat) it.

Internet Kraken posted:Suggestions Thanks for this idea. I kind of neglected the spells all through the game (to my detriment). I'm more accustomed to throwing on Mark of Pride/Longnail, Quick Slash, Stalwart Shell, and Nailmaster's Glory and going pure melee. I'll have to try that out.

Ahhhhh, I finally beat the final boss, and it was an incredible fight. Went with a melee loadout with Quick Slash, Mark of Pride, and Hiveblood. Focused much more on dodging, and I'm certain that Hiveblood won me the fight. By the time I got to the final stage I had 1 health and was a jittering mess. This game was phenomenal, and I can't wait for the DLC to happen.

In the end, if you're not enjoying a particular challenge, you don't have to do it. Look up the 100% ending on YouTube. Nobody reasonable will judge you. You don't have to do the White Palace if you don't want to. You don't have to do the Trial of Fools if you don't want to. Those areas are there if you want the utmost challenge from the platforming and battle mechanics the game has taught you to use up to that point. Just play the parts of the game that you enjoy.
