LITERALLY A BIRD posted:Okay BNL friends I have a question for you. Here's It's Only Me, from the greatest hits album, in case you hadn't heard it recently -- It's clearly about masturbation!! I'm sorry I haven't found this thread until now. BNL were my favourite band growing up and I still think of them fondly even though Steve WAS the band for me. My favourite album is Maroon. I actually started with the Australia-only One Week EP which had One Week and one song each from Gordon, MYSD, BOAPS and Rock Spectacle. Then I went to Canada in 1999 and grabbed Rock Spectacle and Gordon in some Toronto CD store and fell in love. I didn't actually get Stunt until years after though for some reason. I still consider this band in my top 20 Nobody knows how amazing they are and it's sad

Okay now let's talk rare b-sides. How many of you have heard Powder Blue? It was a Stunt era b-side I think, and it's one of their absolute best songs. Edit: sorry, Maroon era. Here: https://youtu.be/XW006QIYMzA

I was once at karaoke with friends and did One Week. I could do all the "rap" sections without looking at the screen for the lyrics. I still impressed nobody and felt like a loser after so

It's crazy that they've done 4 albums post-Page now. I feel no desire whatsoever to listen to the last couple.

Tim Whatley posted:One of my all time favorite bands. I haven't seen them live since 2005 and I'm so excited to see them perform together in about ten minutes after a decade apart that I will probably cry. I'm at work so I'll be watching on YouTube later but let us know what the performance is like!

I’ve been on a BNL kick for a few days. Started at Stunt and I’m going backwards through their discography. After that I’ll go Maroon forwards until I hit the Steve-less era. That’s when BNL dies for me Are there any good full concert recordings on Youtube? Kinda craving watching the full experience with all the banter and improv songs and stuff. Rock Spectacle only barely scratched the itch. Bonus if it’s from around the Stunt/Maroon era Hedrigall fucked around with this message at 02:11 on Nov 27, 2021 |

Talking of Christmas, their holiday album really blows 20 tracks and like... 3 are good (and one of those is a Hannukah song) A huge chunk of the rest are borderline unlistenable novelty instrumental versions of Christmas songs played on silly instruments
