The Kickstarter for Timecop has officially started. They're recording the show in Nashville in June, though it won't be shown in theaters until August. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rifftrax/rifftrax-live-2025

There was a Timecop tv series in the 90s. It wasn't very good but did have two interesting concepts, first was the titular Timecop organization learning that they were actually living in an altered timeline when they discovered evidence of time travelers that weren't setting off their alarms and that said time travelers who altered the timeline were from even further in the future.

i watched Timecop TV with friends and we kept joking about how the show really wants you to think that Logan Timecop is cool and doesn't need to play by the rules. he keeps going back in time and then flirting with or loving the focal lady character of each episode. logan's created a massive fractal of family trees. and then multiple historical figures are like "dammit Logan you're the best there ever was. or my name's not ben franklin" there's also an episode where Bruce Campbell is his best friend that was never in the series before until that very episode. and Kurt Fuller has a recurring role as a sassy nerd

Timecop should be amazing. That movie is just awful, is loaded with anachronistic Future Things, and stuffed with terrible FX. If you haven’t seen it, just wait until you see the cars…

Timecop is a really entertaining movie but also has some really goofy stuff and one of the worst CGI scenes of the 90s so it's perfect for this. I wasn't interested in Point Break being riffed but Timecop is ideal.

So, I am surprised this show is still around in 2025. I saw it in Vegas in the early 2010s (2011?) and it was fun, but very very low rent. Poor sound quality, couldn't understand the lyrics, etc. Would love to see how it has evolved. I kept my blood-splattered shirt unwashed until 2023 when my mother, helping me move houses, found it and washed it "because it was filthy". Now I have a pink Evil Dead Live shirt, though?

Point Break was not unlike Stone Cold in that it was a movie they enjoyed despite being, you know, very dumb.

I have definitely seen this movie at least three times but it completely dissipated from my memory like a flatus disappearing into air. This analogy was picked carefully.

I couldn't not buy Birdemic 3 and holy poo poo how do you even make the color grading mistakes, did he even look at his movie when he was editing it? E: God, a whole loving HOUR before the birds show up? Amazing. Sardonik fucked around with this message at 05:03 on Mar 8, 2025 |

According to one of the actors in the film the color grading errors are even more confusing when you find out the whole shoot was only done with one camera

Sadly James is trying to make bad movies on purpose when he was already so good at making bad movies on accident.

I hadn’t seen a lot of the Bridget & Mary Jo stuff before, but the other night I watched Cat Women on the Moon and it was just delightful. The ladies seem to be genuinely having a good time with the movie, which is a nice counterbalance to the guys being much more contemptuous (but understandably so). I was losing it at Bridget trying to describe what a teenage boy’s room smells like: “…also kind of like sandalwood because they’re vaping and you don’t know they are…” What else should I be watching from them?

I caught 'The spring collection' yesterday on Twitch and it was a great Mary Jo and Bridget showcase imo

Their version of Angels Revenge is fantastic. And it’s uncut! More scenes of rampant sexism and older actors getting paychecks.

Any of the Teen Agers series of 1940s teen comedies and any Hallmark/Lifetime-style TV movie. It's such a rich untapped vein of bad movies to make fun of.

Deadly Instincts (or Breeders) is a weird sci-fi flick that's really fun. Rescue Me is a dumb 90's thing where Stephen Dorff tries to rescue the daughter of the Monkees' Micky Dolenz. If you want a short, there's My Mom Was Never A Kid I highly recommend.
