There are browser extensions that'll let you download streaming video, but the whole model of Rifftrax is that they expect their customers to not be cocks. Of course, a good share of them are, that's just the nature of the beast, but it feels a little mean to flaunt it if they can't do anything about it.

I'm not great with video stuff, but I know I can capture Comcast's streaming video with OBS easy as pie. But seriously if you ever wanted to :filez: rifftrax stuff, it's been there for as long as rifftrax has been a thing, so that's not a big change or anything.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a boring movie
If they pump out a new riff every week, 5 or 6 bucks a month isn't bad at all.

Cheap as hell since 1971.
In case you haven't checked the site lately, it's Rifftrax's 11th birthday, and they're taking 20% off orders with coupon code ELEVEN.

Also, you can get the Iron Man audio riff free with purchase with coupon code STARK, and you get an $11 gift card if you spend more than $50.

Final Justice was underwhelming and I'm surprised they didn't at least watch the MST3K version to avoid repeat riffs.

Yo, I'm doing a survey they sent out and this is pretty interesting:

quote:

Which of the following are RiffTrax Live shows you would be highly likely to attend in the future? (Check all that apply)

Night of Gumby Shorts

The Scorpion King (2002)

Replica (2005)

Gattaca (1997)

Final Justice (1985)

Guy From Harlem (1977)

Air Force One (1997)

Fateful Findings (2013)

Space Mutiny (1988)

Giant Spider Invasion (1975)

Another Classic Doctor Who

Classic horror like The Mummy, Frankenstein, Dracula, etc.

Krull (1983)

The Wizard (1989)

Flash Gordon (1980)

Tremors (1990)

The Karate Kid (1984)

I really hope they want to do Classic Monsters riffs--that was one of the more exciting options in the survey.

Heh, while they're at it, they could riff Nosferatu--that's public domain.

So The Last Slumber Party is now on Amazon Prime and is it just me or does that movie have really bad sound mixing?

Rick

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
That's a solid list. I would go to almost all those shows. I might skip The Wizard simply because everyone who riffs riffs that movie and I've seen like 4 riffs of it now, including the Rifftrax version. I have a deeply emotional bond to Gattaca despite knowing in my heart it's not a good movie so I might pass on that one too.

It does. It gets better about 15 minutes in (after the classroom scene), but by better I mean "you can sort of tell what the actors are saying, usually".
