Ice Cream Man was more baffling than funny to me though the third act revs up the crazy both intentional and not.

turns out this was the director's one and only foray into non-pornographic films,
the only other notable film of his is Edward Penishands +2 sequels

E: The Last Slumberparty is a modern masterpiece on the level of DOOM HOUSE and Garth Marenghi's Dark Place.

I finally got to watch the first episode of Stranger Things and the Riff wasn't enough to prevent me from getting really angry at the show.

I watched Charlie's Christmas Secret to calm down, which I can actually recommend, the first ten minutes are completely over the top Depressive capitalism land and there's a jaunty little electronica rendition of an Xmas tune in the department store.

I just found it to be highly formulaic and lazily written and directed.

Directors everywhere beware: loud dramatic music does not a drama make.
Also are allowed not to keep entire scenes in which nothing actually happens.

Around the middle part it lulls you into believing you've seen everything it has to offer, but as Pinhead likes to say "You ain't seen poo poo boyo!"

I pitched 5$ for that movie and another 5 for The Double ClicksDoubleclicks album.

E:VVVVV

quote:

The Doubleclicks are a nerd-folk musical duo based in Portland, Oregon, consisting of siblings Laser Malena-Webber (on guitar, ukulele, or cat keyboard[1]) and Aubrey Turner[2] (born Angela and Aubrey Webber). They first became known for performing nerd-friendly comedy music, including songs about Dungeons & Dragons, dinosaurs, and other geeky themes. While their later songs retain those elements, there has been a stronger focus on feminist and other social issues, and more personal themes.

The sub-genre of "some idiots ramble about nuclear radiation effects on life forms. And then a creature eats them" does not provide us with quality films, but this one was the worst one I can recall.

I do believe that even Ed Wood would call this lazy filmmaking.

Heh, a sign of the times when Krull was released:

Wikipedia posted:

Despite persistent rumours that the film was meant to tie-in with the game Dungeons & Dragons, Gary Gygax stated, "To the best of my knowledge and belief the producers of Krull never approached TSR for a license to enable their film to use the D&D game IP."
