Still here, hitting 7 months in two weeks. Fallen off the soda wagon, only drinking 7 up, sprite, or ginger ale. Bought a smart watch to get my fatass moving again. I feel good though.

Where I'm at, they started flavoring 7-up so I'm looking for a change. I used to mix drinks with Sprite, so I'm not going to go with that temptation. I'm looking for something with a spicy kick as compared to Schweppes/Canada Dry

So just checking in on who is still going strong. I hit a year sobriety this week. I occasionally miss it, but cope with it in other ways; mainly drinking Dr Pepper or Pepsi. I stopped tobacco for about six months, however I had a pipe last weekend. I am not giving up coffee for you fucks.

I think I just broke a toe kicking a couch, table, and bed in that order within the last 15 minutes. I'm sober and this loving sucks.

It's not preachy at all, it's good solid advice. It took me numerous attempts to sober up, and I'm still craving liquor. I've been sober for a little over a year. This is probably the hardest thing I've ever done.

To be honest, holidays are the worst. My grandfather was, and my younger brother is where I was at about three years ago. He’s worse though with 2 dui’s under his belt. My mom is the typical 70’s hostess (watch a that 70’s show party episode) and gets offended if people aren’t having fun aka blitzed out of their mind. I don’t know. Maybe this year I’ll just cook up a bunch of pasta and do board games or stuff w my kids (21 & 16) instead of dealing with family crap.

That’s awesome, but I know I’m not at that point yet. I still get the weekly thoughts of go ahead and have one, it was a bad day at work, or ex managed to monkey wrench plans, again, it’s ok have one no one will know. Bunch of co-workers tonight we’re talking about bar crawling this weekend and I think I started salivating. It’s still a day by day battle for me, but I like where I am currently.
