My first sponsor told me re: smoking "give it five years, if you're still sober then worry about quitting then. That poo poo won't kill you like booze will". Took me 10 but whatever.

You're that better person, getting loaded gets in the way of it. Don't think of it like a past tense thing, just get back up, stay sober a day at a time. Are you doing zoom meetings or anything?
