STILL TRYING HARD

Over the past few weeks I've been existing off a steady diet of "mockumentary" style live news programmes. The vast majority of which (if not all) involve hypothetical nuclear war scenarios. I'm curious if anyone has any of these that don't cover nuclear war. Or one's that do that I've missed here.

In no particular order here are some of the ones you can find on Youtube.

Special Bulletin: A small group of terrorists take a reporter and cameraman hostage demanding a live feed with the studio where they reveal that they have a nuclear weapon on board that they will detonate if their demands are not met.

The Last Broadcast: A Canadian radio programme breaks a developing story about a Soviet invasion of West Germany.

Countdown to Looking Glass: A financial disaster escalates into a confrontation between the USSR and NATO in the Straight of Hormuz. CVN world news brings us live coverage of events as they unfold.

Nuclear Attack UK Live Broadcast: The most recent entry. The BBC covers a deterioration in relations between Russia and NATO in the modern era and how it could all go terribly wrong.

World War 3: This one is done in a more traditional documentary style and covers the events leading up to a all out nuclear exchange in the early 90s.

Panorama - If the Bomb Drops: A longform news story made in the early 80s about the effects of a nuclear war and Britains preparedness. It includes interviews with top officials and scientists of the time.

I fell in love with a Video Nasty

It looks like you have to go to some iffy sources to find it online, but Ghostwatch feels like it fits the bill. It's a Halloween special from BBC in 1992, in which they stage a paranormal investigation into a supposed haunted flat, using at the time very real BBC personalities, and it's played completely straight.

Oh Ghostwatch definitely fits the bill. That's a great one. It certainly used to be up on youtube in good quality. The ones I found there now with a quick search just need to have the playback speed slowed down to be watchable.
