banned from Starbucks posted:Both actually but mainly the latter. Its such a wet fart of an ending and most of the main cast just seem so inexplicably neutered, Capitalism and civilization won. Of course it's disappointing.

3Romeo posted:Six was wildly uneven. There were a whole bunch of bad scenes and bad arcs that felt rushed and unearned (Dany and the Dothraki; everything with Dorne; Arya and the waif fight; that awful bit with Sandor and the Brotherhood), but in the way of spectacle, you couldn't beat it - the Battle of Mereen, the Battle of the Bastards, and the explosion in the Sept. I thought all the Sandor bits were pretty decent.

IRQ posted:He has literally said that he will have his notes destroyed upon his death so nobody else can finish the book because he got miffed that the internet noticed that he's old and fat and isn't writing. Mostly as a reaction to Robert Jordan dying and Brandon Sanderson finishing off his giant meandering fantasy epic (and doing a very good job too). When there is that much money on the line, his last wishes won't mean poo poo once he's dead, kinda like old King Robert.

Pac-Manioc Root posted:she spent 6 seasons amassing a credible force to take the throne and we had to watch every agonizing second of it, from her sold off as a prize bride, to her stilted negotiations to steal an army of eunuchs, to her doing a terrible governance practice run in a city state that will never be mentioned again on the show, so on and so on every minute of it building up to the awesome moment where she finally inacts her plan and leverages her hard-won resources to kill the bad lannister lady. And now she's sitting on her goddamn hands. Every GoT fan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1YmS_VDvMY

So, watching how Cersei deals with Ellaria and Tyene, and I just can't ignore that the chains on both of them were obviously long enough for them to reach up and take the gags out of their mouths. Really ruins the scene, especially when the showed Yara having her arms chained to her sides not two scenes prior.

Solice Kirsk posted:Their arms are chained to the wall I thought. So they couldn't reach. Their arms are chained to the wall with enough slack to let them stand 3 feet away from the wall. All they have to do is back up and they can reach their mouths.

So, how pissed will Danny be when she finds out she's not the rightful heir to the Iron Throne?
