In a move that would make the gop blushTHC posted:BC Liberals, after years of insisting we don't need campaign finance reform, have tabled a campaign finance reform bill today and rushed a vote on it before anyone could read it. Opposition smacked it down. (First time a government bill has been defeated since 2005 iirc.) Now their shills on Twitter are dancing around crowing about how we're "playing games" and not serious about reform. These people are loving disgusting. and the Ndp's response has been "if you want to copy our policy why not just let us do it instead" Government is set to fall on thursday

Imagine some lanyard sitting in Vancouver thinking "now I know calling snap elections with an unpopular candidate didn't work for the British conservatives and having millions of dollars of advertising didn't work for Jeb! when he lacked any and all personal rapport with voters, but gosh darn it my political science degree is tellinge to take these internal polling numbers seriously!"

get that OUT of my face posted:what does "lanyard" mean as an insult, and when did that start being something you call people? It's either from Chapo or Veep or The Thick of It. It's a slur pointed at political staffers who use frequently have their access passes around their necks on lanyards as some sort of offbrand display of influence and power. They're incapable of having a conversation without using the word optics, or coyly referring to mysterious contacts or internal data to smugly allude to or back up a point
