I don't think her mush-mouthed speech is because she's from New York. None of my friends from NY plop words from their mouths like that. She's always had that weird slur to her voice and I think it works pretty well for certain characters she plays, but saying "she's from NY" doesn't automatically make her easier to listen to if you don't like slurred speech.

It's too hard for me to find the line between Tracy Morgan the person and the characters he plays. Seeing him in interviews makes it seem like Tracy Jordan wasn't a character and they just let him exist on the show.

Chris was the worst part of 30 Rock. I don't know if he counts sense he didn't show up until the end, but he was by far the least funny of Liz's boyfriends.

I don't think either 30 Rock or Kimmy have weak links as such, all the characters have great comedic moments at times imo. I think we can all agree, though, that 30 Rock definitely needed more Devon Banks.

I don't think she sucked this season, but I agree. Lillian works best when she's off doing her own thing we don't see much of, and gets dragged into other people's hijinks. Focusing on what she's doing is fine, but not as often as this season.

30 Rock's weakest moments weren't characters, they were just individual episodes or plotlines that didn't work: "TGS Hates Women," a lot of Jack's romance stuff in seasons 3 and 4, a lot of the stuff with Hazel, etc.
