I doubt any of the actual technical issues were fixed. Netcode is still awful (and feeling worse even), setting everything to low still has long rear end load times, and now the game crashes if I try to load via Steam (I can't get framerate working through Geforce experience). Bummer.

I ran it without the FPS limiter on and had the same issue I had been having before. I'd rather not try playing it again with lovely teleporting all over the place, so I'm not even going to bother using the limiter again. Ugh.

Played two TDM: -Got a servers full message and had to wait for 5-10 minutes to log in. -Still took a handful of minutes to find each match despite there being no ELO/MMR. and -First match felt the same as last week, 2nd one actually felt good latency wise. Then it started to stutter for maybe a minute, but by then the top guy on my team had wrapped up killing everyone else and I alt+f4'd out instead of wait 3 minutes to load the main menu after the post-game. Oh, and people in global chat are claiming that cheaters have already started to pop up. They were laughing since there's no ranking to climb, but said it's already begun.

There's even a lengthy YouTube video advertising their UI. It's a rather elaborate system for cheating. Went for 2 more TDM. Lag all over the place uneven again. But, the interesting part happened a few minutes ago. Me and another guy were just standing still and firing at each other: Nailgun vs. Rocket Launcher. I'd just run up some stars and resigned myself to dying because a rocket was flying right between my eyes on the screen. Just stood there holding down fire waiting to die. Two rockets went WHOOSH through what looked like the center of my screen and didn't do poo poo. Then the nails, through some voodoo witchcraft, killed the other guy who was standing still also assuming I was hosed.

Part of the reason I never really got into CS:GO was the absolutely massive amount of cheaters that it seems to attract. I hope QC never has it as a serious problem. I don't really remember any version of Quake3 having it as a massive issue, but no one really talks about that game outside the community.

There were some small issues with aimbots in the ra3 community, but in general the competitive TDM / 1v1 was fine for aimbots. For most serious leagues you would have to submit a demo of your win, which could be pretty easily reviewed for aimbotting.

The client crashes are mostly decent now, I still don't understand how the game memory leaks as consistently as this one does after 3-4 games it basically becomes nearly unplayable with a 6600k at 4.5ghz and a 1080 ti dropping to 30-40fps due to memory leaking. It's a really unbelievably lovely beta so far, this thing feels like very early alpha stage and not "pretty close to release play-testing beta" phase.

Otherwise just jump over a gap, turn and run (he's not that fast) or sidestep around an obstacle. With that said, he's great in every mode except duel, but so is Sorlag except she's great in duel as well. He's the ultimate FFA noob crusher though I'll give you that.

You can be well out of position for a major item respawn, and just charge all the way across the map to get to it just in time. If you don't actually hit anything he runs really fast for a really long time. Bonus points if your opponent is trying to stopwatch the item and you kill them as well. Or he's a get out of jail free card if you are about to get killed.

Warsow stopped development a long time ago and it's community is long dead. Also Reflex has been dead ever since it launched, sadly. 40~50 playerbase. As for CPMA, I don't know where any community like that exists anymore. All I personally know about is http://ql.syncore.org/ for Quake Live stuff and a Quake 2 Discord server that has about 4~10 people playing on average every day. edit-- vvvvvvvvvvv
