You’re telling me Peter Parker is ...... Spider-man!?

My understanding is that events in the lodge exist outside of linear time. So, what's happening there can be referenced at anytime in the 'real world' narrative, because it's a different realm with different rules.

Which is confirmed in missing pieces with Annie saying her line about Dale while in the hospital bed after the finale

And since they are the best characters

FWWM is supposed to take place in the days leading up to Laura's death, but there are several things in the movie and The Missing Pieces that make that timeline very unclear, like Annie saying "My name is Annie. I've been with Dale and Laura. The good Dale is in the lodge, and he can't leave. Write it in your diary."

But there is poo poo already in that in the show Dale and Laura sharing the same dream and happening weeks apart

I love this revival. It's everything I've wanted from more Twin Peaks. I was never really into the small town drama bits of Twin Peaks, but it was fun. The real stuff wast the more Muholland Drive weirdness and terror that was boiling underneath, so it's great that we get more of that this season. I'm realizing the problem I had with Fire Walk With Me wasn't the wierdness, but that it didn't resolve anything from the show's finale. Whereas this is actually showing the next step in the story.

I'm so happy the FBI is involved and that they've realized they're dealing with something supernatural. Seeing Cooper without has faculties is a bit heartbreaking. Not sure if that's because he was teleported back to the wrong body or because he's been sitting in an alternate dimension for 25 years without real human contact so his brain went off.

4 hours went by in flash so it's going to seem like a pittance when I only have an hour to watch next week. Maybe I should wait a month or so and then mainline another 4 hours of Lynch.

June 4 is when episode 5 airs

What I mean is, logically I see why somebody would say Bob probably got his look from the guy from Leland's childhood. But there's also no reason in particular to think that is true. Not that you shouldn't, since we're supposed to interpret it as we will. Also the guy looks like an 80s drifter or something, I picture somebody different for Leland's neighbor in the 50s or whenever it would be. Thanks for the Mike reminder also.

Even in the film they feel like different personalities. Like that scene when he was crying and talking to Laura, and she was almost surprised to see her dad. Because they're two different people. Or it's one way of looking at it anyway, how I saw it.

Granted that's symbolism and metaphor for messed up people etc, here we're talking about how we think Bob works to figure how it ties into the plot of the new Twin Peaks. Though how it worked then and now might be different as well.

And they say in the show there never was a Robertson who owned that house

Apparently its been used a poo poo ton in films and tv, but I always think of the cigarette smoking man and how an episode went to a morley factory. X-files owes a poo poo ton to Twin Peaks, so I assume its properly a homage to them.

Nope people snort heroin all the time. Its a more "classy" way of doing the drug as their are no needles. However, they often want a quicker fix so they move to needles. I am pretty sure meth is the same way as snorting it is quicker than smoking it.

Also when the guy went in for the job interview all I could think of was Spud from Trainspotting so if it was speed makes it funnier.

I dont' understand what the gently caress happens for more or less the majority of the episode. I just wrapped it up and I'm not sure i"m gonna put up with that again unless someone can impart some information here that makes me think it's something that will actually tie back into the main plot of the return series, instead of nearly one full hour of david lynch engaging in masturbatory abstract imagery with nothing but the most superficial and ultimately meaningless connections to anything that's happened so far or will happen.

it honestly doesn't even feel like that was made for Twin peaks. He just shoved it in to pad out an episode.

I know you're a savant of shitposting in c-spam and gbs but in this thread that's in TVIV can you be useful here?? i'm trying to enjoy the show but this episode was just an artist jacking off onto a canvass as far as i can tell.
