MGS 1-3 are on xbox. MGS5 is on xbox. I used to own a playstation, when my hands were smaller. Now I prefer the xbox controller, and I don't want to buy an entire console just to play Metal Gear Solid 4.

metal gear solid was very good metal gear solid 2 was ok until you realize snake is never coming back metal gear solid 3 was some old guy not snake then i didn't play games for a while metal gear solid 5 is on xbox, but i need to play metal gear solid 4 to catch up

if you do something called a "softmodding" then yeah you can, but you need to own the machine or it's illegal. well actually, my friend does it illegally and its not hard, I could get him to tell you if you really need to know?

If you don't want the expense just watch it on youtube. MGS4 is cutscene heavy enough for this to work. I'd argue watching Peace Walker is more important unless you want to be loving clueless with what's going on in half of MGS5's story. Unless you have the means to play it regularly. You can get Peace Walker on the 360. It's a very good game considering it was made for the PSP.

real answer: because, even though konami probably thought about it, they're a dead company and kojima doesn't even work for them anymore so they have no reason to do anything with Metal Gear beyond outsourced cash-grab spinoffs and pachinko machines
