I never really noticed the mountain changing actors that much because he showed up so rarely. It was pretty jarring when Dany's bodyguard/gently caress buddy(Daario Naharis) changed from a blonde neanderthal to the brown-haired bearded dude.

That's how the editing made it look, but he took the loan out to hire his mercenary friend in the Braavos bathhouse. Apparently one of the showrunners confirmed he didn't hire the army. Also, Cersei sent Euron to go hire and transport them.
