Yeah Ground RB just auto does the little brackets if you vaguely look near a plane now. Same as in Air RB when you hit like "x" or whatever on a plane to target it for callouts. Kinda weird, i guess it's from all the "BAN PLANES PLANES OP" from German mains?

I always had issues with the 3s being uptiered if I picked anything other than the lowest BR tanks in that tier. That 0.2 extra BR meant that I was usually fighting guys who were running a lowest possible 4 Tier BR lineup. I know there is wiggle room with the matchmaking, but (for me), playing 3 means I'm ending up as someone's seal to club.

Every time i've gone into the goon discord for this game I've never found anyone that wanted to play, or they wanted to only play tanks which I have no real interest in. I just wanna do planes and navy poo poo once in awhile. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong times and time zones? I'd love to play with other goons but so far no luck 1 year on.

That's been my experience so far, too. Though I'm still getting some very silly shots. For example, I killed a Panzer IV/70 from the front by shooting it under the gun at close range, using the AMX-13 FL11.

I had my first ever B-25 vs B-25 head on today at ~4500 meters. I'm glad to announce I flew away with zero damage somehow and the other person had an engine & wing on fire. Not entirely sure why their gunners didn't return fire at all as we almost kissed fuselages (passed over them with about a 20m clearance) so I assume they were all dead too. All I know is my tail gunner went to town. Turning around to role play my B-25 was actually a P-47 I was delighted to find I had a surprise friendly fighter escort who finished them off. Nice way to start a match. To be clear this is highly unusual for me lol Edit - this is all bullshit. I watched the replay day after and totally missed 2 fighters swooping in immediately afterwards. Get a Ru 251 if you haven’t (and play tanks). Good tank that will prep you for high tier poo poo while being a lot of fun to play. Leos are all basically improved 251s all the way up to 10.0. Only real weakness is it lacks a stabilizer but most things do at 6.7. Also always buy as much premium time as you can when It’s 50% off. Premium time is definitely super worth it. For SL printers (and lower tier airplane research) consider the Japanese Corsair, and the US and Chinese Zeros (said Zeros sitting at 3.3 and tier 3 so you can even do event tasks in them). For tanks you should pick up the T-III (the Soviet captured Pz 3), because it gives you a hammer and sickle decal.

Another thing to consider with the upcoming sale is talismans, since those will be 50% off too. Sometimes the best premium is one you make yourself! This is especially true at higher tiers, when a lot of premiums are very expensive but not necessarily good enough to be worth money.

Yeah I'm still trying to decide if I slap a talisman on the T-62 or the T-72A because both are fun as hell. Leaning towards the 62 because 8.3 seems to be the more fun "complete" tier for the Soviets. T-62/BMP-2/T-55A/T-10/Shilka/Mi-4AV. One hell of a lineup.

In terms of talismans yeah, you do have to keep mind there's a harsh penalty for RP when researching a vehicle more than a tier above/below the vehicle being used. IMO the sweet spot is T5 or low T6 for talismans since everything below that is sub 100k RP and doesn't take much time at all to research with premium. Also consider a BR with multiple decent vehicles. Ex: I talismaned the BMP-1 because it's fun as hell but also at 7.3 I can slot in the IS-3 and the 7.0 T-44-100 is still competitive. Just a year. Sales are 2-3 times a year so you can refill early but a year is the best bang for your buck assuming you plan to play for a decent portion of the year. The best part about a year though is you can walk away for a couple months and patches and come back and still have a ton of time left. It doesn’t take too long to justify the $40 on grind time saved too assuming you’re not too strapped for cash (in which case don’t spend it on lovely F2P games in general).

I really do like the AMX-30 family in general, and the Super is probably the best one of those because it actually has a stabilizer. The APFSDS round is really quite nice at ~360 mm pen, too. However, it doesn't have much of a lineup, just the AMX-30 B2 BRENUS and the AMX-30 ACRA at 8.7, or the AMX-32 at 9.3, and I'm not sure the chassis really holds up at 9.0. On the other hand, it costs $60 (or $30 if you get it on sale) which is more than enough to buy a talisman for the AMX-30 (1972) and the AMX-32 or -40. Personally, I don't think it's worth the money, though if it was cheaper I'd consider as a lineup filler for the AMX-32/AMX-40. Considering how much grinding you're apparently planning to do, I'd say save your money and get talismans on those two tanks later. If you'd rather be able to get dug into high-tier France now, then buy the Super. Besides that, the M4A1 FL10 is a fantastic purchase. I actually used it to grind France from reserve to tier 4.

The SL booster that comes with a premium talisman can be pretty clutch in high tier if you play tanks exclusively. The lower rewards means that SL can be an issue in T6 and up.
