Alis' response is brief. She frowns when Zep clasps her shoulder.

"I think you have some explaining to do to us, 'Tycho.' And to the Chief. A lot of what you're saying sounds like what that old heap over there was rambling about, light and dark and other strange things. And I don't think I need anything from any Jedi, or former Jedi, or whatever you claim you are."

Her expression turns stern.

"I don't need anything from the people who failed the galaxy."

Zep led the three knee-high droids down into the area below their new base where all the books were kept. "HU-33 (red), DU-33 (blue), LU-33 (green)," He addressed them, smiling and placing his hands on their robotic shoulders one at a time. "You guys have a very important task ahead of you. I need you to CAREFULLY record and store all the data in these books. They're old, so be careful with them. I accidentally wrecked a few earlier." He paused, blushing a bit at the embarrassing memory. "I'm hoping you'll all take a more delicate approach to it."

He thought about all the times he worked with analysis droids in the libraries on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. It felt like a lifetime ago and everything was hazy. It seemed to alien to only be worried about the war with the separatists and not worrying about the Emperor hunting him down like a dog.

"I've worked with models like you before, when I was a kid. I was impressed then, and I'm sure you'll all impress me now. Have fun, and be careful."

He turned and started toward the door, then paused. "Look, I can't begin to tell you how important this data could be. But I also have to tell you how dangerous it could be if it fell into the wrong hands. The ONLY ones with access to it are me, and the organics named Alis, Dem, Gank, Gunnis, and Hrakk. NO ONE ELSE has the authorities to access these files."

He smiled and continued walking toward the door. "May the Force be with you." He said before leaving his new droids to their work.

Session 10 Recap

Happy tenth session! This game has really become the highlight of my week, I'm really excited to see where your characters go!

This session, you:
  • Left the temple/archive/library thing below the base, only to discover that the slavers had apparently returned and were assaulting the free slaves, who had barricaded themselves into the base's mess hall.
  • A short firefight/melee ensued with Dreks "Big Daddy" Sol and the remaining slavers. Hrakk gored the gently caress out of Big Daddy with his badass vibropickaxe, spraying blood everywhere and generally having a ball. <3 Hrakk.
  • After finally clearing out the threat posed by the slavers, the unnamed mountain base has finally been reclaimed, and a period of healing can begin. Captain Komo and the Early Bird arrive in orbit and begin shuttling down supplies and medical personnel to tend to the wounded.
  • Over the course of several days during the interlude, each member of the group does what seems best to them. Gunnis coordinates with Captain Komo in administering the base, ferrying out the farmer-slaves, and working to secure employment at the base for the ex-corporate workers. Dem works alongside the newly-freed slaves, teaching them about the values the Alliance stands for, and generally gaining their trust. Gank scouts out the area around the base, finally making contact with the communications tower and ensuring that everything there is in order. Hrakk works on field dressing those giant spider corpses in the temple, collecting some badass trophies along the way, and working on healing up a bit thanks to the crew of the Early Bird. Zep and Alis interact with Lothor Mallek, temporarily your prisoner before being transferred to the Alliance, and are further convinced of his madness.
  • You all get promoted up to the next level (Gunnis, for flavor purposes, is one rank above everyone -- so he's currently an Ensign). There's a chart somewhere in the AoR core rulebook that says CR2 should be in the upper enlisted ranks, so you can refer to that for ideas on your flavor rank. Alternatively there's this old table from WEG d6 with the various Alliance ranks in it and you could pick something from around levels 6-8 under NCO's or Warrant Officers, whichever sounds best to you for your character. The next flavor promotion won't happen until CR 4.
  • General Azad Holt (a Duros male) arrives at the base to survey your work, assess it, and offer you mission briefings. He places the base, now dubbed "Temple Base" under the overall command of Captain Komo, who is free to delegate responsibility for the base as she sees fit (so... Gunnis). Holt also announces that the base will temporarily house "Bantha Squadron", a team of six Z-95 Headhunter starfighters, that will be used for training new pilot recruits in the general seclusion of the Thanium system (and also serving as a basic defense). He presents you three mission options: busting a larger slaving ring on Nam Chorios; convoy escort duty and military assistance to a civil war on Murkhana; and abducting Lord Verpalion, former governor of Lianna and recently-promoted Grand Moff of the Tion Sector. You chose the latter.

+20 XP to everyone, and you should all now have a total of 5 Duty. You can apply this to your existing Duty, or take a new Duty called "Rebel Base", which relates to the upkeep and improvement of Temple Base.

The detailed mission briefing will be posted here and in Discord later this week. I'm also gonna start putting together some sheets for the various recurring NPCs and locations, now that we've got a wider story arc developing in the sector.

:siren: As discussed, there not be a regular session next Sunday -- this means that your new mission will start on September 10th at the normal time :siren:
I will however be running an optional character building session next week for anyone is interested. This session will take place in the interlude between missions and will probably be more heavily RP-focused than our normal sessions are. We're starting to have some cool relationship dynamics in the party, so this could be a chance to build on that.

++==URGENT COMMUNICATION==++
+=ALLIANCE TO RESTORE THE REPUBLIC=+

FROM: General Azar Holt, Alliance Sector C-in-C, Tion Cluster
TO: Captain Otara Komo, CO, Alliance Signals Vessel Early Bird
SUBJ: *FLASH PRIORITY* Abduction and Extraction Mission

Captain Komo,

It was a pleasure to see you again recently on Thanium, and to meet the extraordinary people you have working with you. Alliance Special Forces are particularly interested in tracking the progress of the team of young operatives you have at your disposal, especially after their impressive acquisition of the mountain facility we are now calling “Temple Base.”

I hate to immediately launch into more serious topics, but a highly time-critical opportunity has presented itself in the past 24 hours. We have learned from our embedded cell on Lianna that Lord Ronin Verpalion, until recently Imperial governor of Lianna, has been summoned to Imperial Center. Sources on Imperial Center have confirmed that Lord Verpalion is expected to be named new Grand Moff overseeing the entire Tion Cluster. A vain man obsessed with public displays of wealth, Lord Verpalion has chosen a suitably prestigious form of transportation to Imperial Center: the ultra-luxury starliner Jewel of Coruscant. As a circumstance of this trip, it is expected that his security detail will be relatively light compared to the future protection he will enjoy as a Grand Moff.

Unfortunately, the situation has developed quickly, and the Jewel of Coruscant has already departed Lianna on a heading that will take it all the way up the Perlemian Trade Route, with Imperial Center its final destination. The liner’s flightplan is public knowledge, and it will be stopping off at several ports-of-call before reaching Coruscant. These are, in order: The Wheel, Taanab, Ralltiir, and Esseles. Should your team accept this mission, their best chance of getting aboard the Jewel of Coruscant would be at the liner’s first scheduled stop at The Wheel. Due to the liner’s relatively slow hyperdrive, it is scheduled to reach The Wheel in around two days.

Alliance Intelligence has had precious little time to formulate a concrete insertion and extraction plan for this operation, but the opportunity is simply too great to pass up. Also unfortunately, Alliance assets in this part of the galaxy (or lack thereof) are unable to support an elite operation. As such, this is a high-risk operation that should be undertaken only by a group that has proven itself capable of thinking outside the box and specializing in unorthodox solutions.

Should your team accept this mission, they will be supported by a small replacement crew, to be temporarily assigned to the Sunrise. Once aboard the Jewel of Coruscant, we recommend that the replacement crew temporarily pilot Sunrise on a parallel course to the liner, and standby to respond to the team’s request for extraction. The sector quartermaster has also arranged for attire sufficient to allow the crew to pass as members of high society, should the team deem this necessary.

Good luck, and may the Force be with you.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
  • Reach The Wheel before the Jewel of Coruscant.
  • Find a way to get aboard Jewel of Coruscant.
  • Assess situation and formulate a plan in situ for the abduction of Lord Verpalion.
  • Should the team determine that abduction is not possible, eliminate the target and successfully extract without alerting Imperial authorities to your presence.

THE WHEEL PROFILE:
Class: Space Station
Atmosphere: Type I Breathable
Climate: Controlled and pleasant
Gravity: Standard
Native Species: Majority human, significant and diverse aliens
Population: ~15,000 (permanent), ~50,000 (tourist)
Government: Neutral Corporation
Points of Interest: Crimson Casino, Grand Casino, Golden Star Casino, Bazaar

The Wheel is a massive space station located along the Perlemian Trade Route in the Mid Rim. The station acts as a transport hub and luxury shopping and entertainment complex for this part of the galaxy, catering exclusively to a wealthier clientele. Due to the station’s shrew corporate management, The Wheel enjoys a unique status as a neutral free port. By treaty, the Empire maintains no presence on The Wheel itself and is normally forbidden from docking. To compensate for this, the station management pays high taxes promptly and without issue, and willingly enforces Imperial law in its jurisdiction. A small Imperial customs fleet is also based just outside Wheel space, in order to monitor traffic and make sure the station is honoring its agreement.

The Wheel is home to a wide array of casinos, entertainment parlors, clubs, and retail commerce. The station’s bazaars boast a wide array of products that cater to every possible need, and local security forces turn a blind eye to many black market transactions. Do not mistake this for a sign that The Wheel is a den of crime -- while it lacks the scum, it definitely contains the villainy, if you spend some effort in looking for it. The station's security force is large, disciplined, and intolerant of disruptive actions.

JEWEL OF CORUSCA PROFILE

A massive passenger liner, the Jewel of Corusca is one of the most prestigious civilian vessels in known space. It journeys three times each year throughout the galaxy, spanning the Perlemian Trade Route from Quermia all the way to Coruscant. The liner is massive, with a complement of nearly one thousand beings. Its design is sleek and artisanal, with every inch of the ship reflecting opulence and the power that wealth can bring. The liner is not defenseless, hosting a very modest but sufficient array of laser and ion weaponry, and boasts strong shielding. Due to the relatively slow pace of the passenger liner's regular cruises, the ship has only a Class 3 primary hyperdrive, and can be easily outrun by many civilian vessels (to say nothing of the military).

Tickets for the one of the Jewel of Corusca’s yearly flights cost an exorbitant amount of money and often sell out quickly, as a trip on the Jewel is seen as a mark of prestige among the ultra-rich. The Jewel’s most recent port of call was the planet of Lianna in the Tion Cluster, which it departed some hours ago, bound for The Wheel.

Just putting this here so I have in-character knowledge straight in my head. Alis now knows:

- That Dem is a former Imperial and is from Corellia, and apparently still has family there. She defected to the Alliance along with a few others after the Death Star and its shenanigans
- That Gunnis is also a former Imperial and served aboard one of its starships, and he defected after an incident involving an Alliance cell
- That Gank lost his entire "family" due to a run-in with the Empire while working for the Hutts, involving transport of some kind of crystals, and is out for revenge

Session Eleven Recap

This session, you:
  • Discussed your plan aboard ship (and also some brief flashback interlude to some ~*deep and engaging RP*~ between Alis and Zep re: the Force). Hrakk, in a moment of destiny, recalled a working relationship that had soured with a black market trader on the Wheel (one O'Teti, a Toydarian fixer and semi-legitimate tapestry salesman), and the party agreed that that was a good angle to pursue. Likewise, the party also agreed that getting more information about the passenger manifest of the Jewel of Coruscant would be Cool and Good.
  • Alis, Gank, and Zep went scouting out in the commercial areas of the Wheel for travel agencies, or any computer that would have information on the Jewel's manifest. After spending some time with the galaxy's loneliest travel agent droid, Alis was able to slice into the travel agency's central booking computer and access the Jewel of Coruscant's passenger manifest, identifying three random rich passengers who had booked a short stay at the Crimson Hotel on the Wheel, with plans to overnight there during the passenger liner's layover at The Wheel.
  • Hrakk, Gunnis, and Dem visited Hrakk's underworld contact on the Wheel. Due to a previous arrangement that had gone very sour, the reception was less than welcome. After some heated discussion and O'Teti's refusal to buy the bullshit Hrakk and Dem were selling, he came up with a compromise: O'Teti has a score to settle with an ex-Imperial Senator who is flying on the liner and who owes him a debt beyond money, and needs someone to make a very public example of him. Hrakk agrees and O'Teti arranges for tickets to board the Jewel for Hrakk, Gunnis, and Dem (Hrakk takes on 10 Obligation to O'Teti, who I AM THRILLED TO SAY we'll hear more of in the future I'm sure!). Maybe I'll find some way to offend even more cultures with his accent!
  • Alis, Gank, and Zep begin formulating a plan to, ehm, "liberate" tickets to board the liner from the three VIPs once the ship docks at the station. A mini-heist!

+15xp all around as usual

If anyone is going to take up the offer on "switching" career and secondary specialization XP costs as discussed after the session, lemme know when you're gonna do it. It's maybe not the most elegant solution to the mechanics issues but I think everyone was on board with it. Main thing is: this game rules and I want it to continue being awesome :haw:

Zep watched as Alis tried to reach out with the Force to sense the life around them. He was impressed with how quickly she was picking it up, then winced at the sudden memories of him being a trainee in the temple on Courscant. He was 12 years old again and watching as some of the younger pupils were taking their first steps towards being a Jedi when the sounds of battle erupted throughout the halls. He ignited his light saber and went to see what he could do to help when he saw Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi he knew by reputation alone, cutting down students and teachers alike, accompanied by a contingent of clone troopers.

"Don't focus on us..." Came his master's voice. "We're gone. But she's still here."

He snapped back to the moment, seeing Alis focusing on her breathing and forced himself to smile. "Good job." He said, standing up with a grunt. He could tell she was struggling a little, but he didn't want her to feel like she wasn't doing well. "Keep in mind if you were a Jedi you would have had this drilled into your head for the past eight years or so. But you're getting a crash course, and you're not getting the history of the Jedi order. Keep it up, and don't get frustrated."

He wished he had more time to help her get the grasp of the rudimentary Force disciplines, but there wasn't much time. He also wished he was a better teacher. Maybe it was time to stop running from the spirit of his old instructor and ask for help...

You know, you kids really ought to stop getting involved with this stuff.
Since Alis and Zep's dialog on the Sense power was CLASSIC GEORGE LUCAS I was thinking that the first time Alis uses the power we can do a little interlude of her actually learning it.

Also, the way I imagined "respeccing" wasn't really respeccing per se. It's like, instead of taking Shadow as a third spec for 40 xp, Alis can take it for 30, and has the option of taking other Sentinel specializations without the +10 xp tax for out of career specializations. Essentially, treating them like universal specializations.

Speaking of XP:

Alis knows that the survival of the Alliance depends upon its ability to hide from the Empire and avoid complete destruction at the hands of its overwhelming military superiority. To this end, she wants to hunt down and eliminate enemy agents and threats, feed false information to Imperial intelligence networks, and cover the movements of all Alliance assets from observation and reporting.

Session 13 Recap
+15 xp all around

Splitting my bullet points up this time into a chronological listing of events, and then separately just a concise intel tracker of stuff you've all found out independently. Feel free to use that info in #rebelsunrise-deeproleplay during the week to plan stuff out in-character!

Last time on Star Wars: Rebel Sunrise...
  • Some off-camera shopping was had (and a very deep and engaging roleplay trip to the store for Zep to buy a stun grenade).
  • You quickly went over the overall plan to get aboard the Jewel of Coruscant, while still preparing on the Sunrise. Alis took the prep time to start flexing her Force muscles, delving deep into an insightful Force vision of the future. She saw the glitz and glamour of the Jewel of Coruscant, heard the voices and entertained laughter of the passengers, and a subtle but ever-strengthening sound of cello music. She saw the face of a handsome older man, distinguished and bearded (I think the word I used to describe him was "nautical"), wearing the uniform of a high-ranking Imperial politician. And then... something else happened in the vision that is known only to Alis :iiam: Gunnis also gave a rousing speech as the leader of the group, granting everyone 1 Boost die to Discipline checks for 24 hours making everyone feel really professional and stuff.
  • The crew took their tickets and got in line to board the ship. Alis and Gank posed as Lady Bertha Belrun and her butler, while Hrakk took on the persona of Voodoo Jones, (Spiritual) Hunter Extraordinaire, a posh guru of some kind. While boarding the Jewel of Coruscant, a loud voice from behind the party alerted them to the presence of the REAL Lady Bertha Belrun. Some deft manipulation of the Force on the part of Zep allowed the porters to breeze them through security quickly.
  • The crew regrouped in one of the legitimate staterooms booked by O'Teti for Hrakk/Gunnis/Dem. After checking out the ship's events schedule for valuable information, the group decided to split up after being further pepped up by Dem.
  • Gank began his recon by going to the lower decks, searching among some of the less-travelled areas of the ship for some kind of underworld contact. He found a sorta skeevy looking guy selling drugs to some of the ship's crew, and approached him looking for "fun". This "fun" cost Gank 50 credits, but eventually resulted in Gank being given the maid's access code to staterooms, which allows room access during cleaning hours.
  • Dem took a similar tack and sought out the crew's break areas, in an effort to foment socialist revolution learn more about the poor and overlooked crew. She found herself in one of the crew breakrooms, sharing a drink with a small group of stewards, who provided her with some valuable information.
  • Gunnis worked his way back to the engine room, concluding that his expertise in that area would make him an even more convincing confidante for the ship's crew. Bearing the gift of a bottle of Pusser's Whisky, he met with Chief Engineer Bilby and started working his way into the fellow gearhead's good graces. So far, he has learned that Bilby is an old veteran of the Clone Wars, having served with distinction on a Republic cruiser (the Rejuvenator) at the Battle of Felucia.
  • Hrakk made his way to C Deck for reasons unknown to the rest of the party, having discerned Senator Graeme Vance's room number from Alis's ship manifest. Graeme Vance, if Gunnis and Dem remember, was the name of the target O'Teti has obligated Hrakk to make an example of. After working together over comlink with Alis to shut down the security cameras in the corridor on C Deck, Hrakk found his way to a lounge area, where he had a close-call with the real Lady Bertha Belrun.
  • Alis found her way into the ship's holocommunications area and claimed one of the private holoterminal booths for herself. Slicing into the ship's systems, she was able to get some valuable information, as well as help Hrakk on his unknown mission to C Deck.
  • Zep was thinking slightly along the lines of Dem, and found himself at a hangout bar for the crew (as well as some teenage rich kids who were out slumming it with the proles). Using key insight from the Force, Zep identified a potential source of information: Chief Custodian Hoagie, a Besalisk female who is in charge of managing all of the cleaning crews aboard ship. Plying her with drink, she provided him with key information.

And here the general intel you've gathered so far:
  • A Deck, the location of the ship's penthouse staterooms, has been completely blocked off by some outside security. Nobody has identified the guest staying on this floor, but he/she seems to have uniformed Imperials guarding them.
  • B Deck is mainly upper-end staterooms, with a few lounges scattered about. C Deck is where most of the entertainment facilities are, but there are also some staterooms here as well (notably Graeme Vance's). D and E deck are more staterooms (with the quality decreasing as you get lower), and start to lead into the crew areas. The Topside Casino is located on the very top of the ship and is encased in a massive transparisteel bubble, which offers a fantastic view of space around the ship.
  • One of these Imperials, per a vision granted to Zep by reading the thoughts of Custodian Hoagie, is Keeth Bruh, your former one-time adversary on Lianna and well-known fascist scumbag. In the vision, Keeth is wearing the white uniform of an Imperial Security Bureau lieutenant, and has been apparently terrorizing the ship's staff by just being an all-round awful person. It seems that he is involved in Lord Verpalion's protection detail somehow.
  • The computer network on A Deck has been severed from the rest of the ship, though Alis has found a way to restore it. Unfortunately doing so will immediately alert the crew to the change.
  • Ship's crew are generally barred from A Deck while the unknown guest is still aboard ship. Some few crew are allowed through for catering purposes, but the Imperial security gives even them a hard time (in one case, even stealing a crewman's ID card).
  • Lord Ronin Verpalion, soon-to-be Grand Moff of the Tion Cluster, is an extremely vain man obsessed with appearances and stature. He loves ostentatious displays of wealth and power, and loves the praise those things bring him. Aside from that, his personality is (superficially) charming, but this obscures a deep streak of cruelty.
  • The ship offers an array of events, as with any luxury cruise, that may afford some opportunities. The cruise ship is just about to enter hyperspace as of the end of the session, and will take around 3 days to reach its next destination at Taanab. For narrative purposes, assume that these events take place whenever is best convenient for the party.

Pretty sure I didn't forget anything!

Session 14 Recap
  • The actual time spent in-game for the session was pretty quick, with each person or small group implementing part of the overall plan that you guys formulated in the Deep Roleplay channel.
  • Gank and Alis scoped out A Deck to get a better sense of the security around the Moff's area, and to see if they could glean any intel. Around four guards were visible down the hallway leading to the Moff's suites. Using his ill-gotten maid's access code, Gank and Alis infiltrated another one of the suites on the floor: a room belonging to the weird hyperrich guy from The Wheel (with portraits of himself everywhere), which was in disarray after what looked like an epic bender. Gank liberated a pile of 300 credits that were loosely stacked next to a pile of powderized Booster Blue. Alis was able to hack into Keeth's datapad, which was still connected to the public network on A Deck. She confirmed his identity via his postings on a right-wing holoBBS, and confirmed that his role was to lead the Moff's security detail. She also got some valuable information from his mailbox (including an ISB welcome letter, and the Moff's travel and events itinerary).
  • Gunnis and Alis prepped a private Holonet message room to receive a fake signal. The ship's computers would, at first glance, register an incoming priority call for the Moff using an Imperial Navy cypher, and would surely send a messenger to retrieve the Moff from his private VIP box at the symphony.
  • Gunnis and Alis also prepped one of the crew launches (a small sublight shuttle that holds 6 people in cramped quarters), for use as a getaway vehicle. The crew on the bridge of the Jewel of Coruscant would not only not see that the shuttle was missing, but the ship's computers would also be caught in a logical feedback loop and refuse to target the shuttle as it made its getaway.
  • Hrakk had a distraction in mind. Using info he gained on his reconnaissance of the area around Senator Graeme Vance's stateroom on C Deck in the previous session, Gank had formulated an epic plan. Breaking into the stateroom directly above the Senator's on B Deck (and directly below the Moff's quarters on A Deck), Gank planted grenades on the floor and ceiling, creating an explosion that was felt throughout the ship. He then jumped through the hole in the floor, landing on the Senator's bed, and stabbed him through the heart while saying, "Knife to meet ya, O'Teti sends his regards"
  • Concurrently, Zep set off in search of Keeth. The young spacenazi was already in the Moff's private VIP box at the Palpatine Theater, but Zep was able to use his Force powers to lure Keeth out, so that he could "check in" with the ISB. Pursuing him to a secluded area, Zep attempted to further ensnare Keeth in his Force trance; unfortunately, this backfired, and Keeth made to apprehend Zep. At the moment of recognizing Zep's face, the Jedi drew his blaster as a last resort, and shot Keeth right through the stomach. Zep then bolted.
  • The rest of the party huddled in the Holonet communication room and triggered the false signal. A shipboard runner was sent for Lord Verpalion, who came with haste to the communications suite.
  • Nearly simultaneously, the following happened on-camera: Lord Verpalion was stunned by a flurry of blaster fire in the Holonet booth; Hrakk's grenade explosions rocked the ship slightly, causing people to be thrown off their guard; then, a much larger explosion as the Chandrila Chamber Orchestra opened their performance with the Hymn of Alderaan and set off a series of sacrificial bombs in the theater, dealing tremendous damage to the ship.
  • Amid the chaos of evacuation, the team stuffed Lord Verpalion into a maid's laundry cart and wheeled him hastily off toward the escape shuttle. Gunnis ran toward engineering, to help Chief Bilby with damage control and coordination. The chief, grateful for Gunnis's presence but sensing his role in the chaos, nodded his approval to Gunnis and assured him that everything was under control. Gunnis gave Chief Bilby a PO Box on Coruscant to use in order to contact him.
  • Wheeling into the escape corridor, the rest of the party was met by a gruesome sight. Keeth, blooded and clutching his wound, was waiting outside the shuttle entrance, blaster in hand. Recognizing the party, he loosed a blaster bolt at Dem, dealing great damage to one of her limbs (crit!). In retaliation, Alis and Gank (I believe?) took him down. As the ship was rumbling around them, the team boarded the shuttle (or other escape pods) and jettisoned. Before Hrakk left ship, he made certain that Lady Bertha Belrun was placed safely aboard an escape pod, leaving behind a fresh rose.
  • The Sunrise jumped out of hyperspace and scooped up the team, leaving behind the gruesome scene of the Jewel of Coruscant listing helplessly in space, venting atmosphere and spewing forth escape pods.

+20xp all around because it's the end of the mission, and you've all gained a CR rank (now CR3). This enables you to requisition equipment up to Rarity 6 as part of your reward. Let me know what you plan on getting to make sure everything's kosher. There will also be a minor timeskip between this mission and the next one (roughly 2 months), so feel free to use Deep Roleplay if you want any character interactions back in Temple Base in the meantime. Also please post what your characters are doing over these two months here in the thread, just so I can get an idea.

As mentioned, there will be no game on Sunday, October 8th, since I'll be travelling for work. Sunday the 15th is sorta unclear, but I'll keep you updated in the Discord.

I'll put up an Alliance debrief post sometime before my trip.

Alis picks up a cybernetic brain implant for a CR3 reward.

Bought equipment consisting of reflec shadowskin attachment for her armor, an in-helmet scanner with integrated comlink, and some dataspikes. Not going for the data breaker atm, the spikes do practically the same thing.

She also dragged a maimed Keeth Bruh, ISB Agent, into the shuttle for interrogation by Alliance Intelligence, which may (your call) result in a promotion. She keeps her helmet on at all times to obscure her identity during the trip back.

Alis will probably be spending the next two months studying the strange book the party retrieved from Lothor, and interacting with the three analysis droids to learn as much as she can about the temple's secrets. Her current viewpoint of the Force is that it will make her a much better spy. She's not too concerned about Light and Dark at this stage; Zep expressed his viewpoint during their initial training but Alis doesn't give him a lot of credit. The only thing that gives her some concern is that using the Force sometimes makes her feel uneasy and cold (this is when I as the player use dark side pips).

I think that, based on the outcome and events of the latest mission, Alis is pretty much all-in with the Alliance, and is operating in the very moral grey area of being a Spy. Hearing the Hymn of Alderaan play over the comms before the blast certainly left an impression on her.

Zep:
*helps Alis expand her consciousness, develop a sixth sense, have actual visions of the future, and influence the thoughts and emotions of others by training her in her ability to use a mystical energy power*

Alis:
*still doesn't give Zep a lot of credit*

Downtime activities: If this planet is to be our base of operations for a while, we need to know more about what's what. Gank is going to spend the downtime exploring the city looking for anything of value to the base and ongoing operations. If he can find a volunteer or two that know more about engineering to help him better identify what's worth the effort, even better, but he'll go alone if nobody at the base is interested.

Side task during the scouting, he's going to make himself some new armor. Basic light armor is cheap and requires a survival skill check and is unlikely to produce anything that's other than "the exact same" as what he's already got, but it'll be his own creation. My hope is to just salvage up the materials rather than buying anything seeing as it's a whole 250 credits worth of "stuff you might find at a scrap yard" to make a light armor suit. Depending on the situation back at base, maybe a sub goal here would be to make multiple suits of soak 2 armor for the base security.

Sergeant Zep Rowsdower/Tycho Peart's Shopping Extravaganza!

CR3 Requisition: Saving

Here is Zep's shopping list. He's going to buy some supplies for his expedition with his current week's stipend, then let the rest of his credits accrue. When he gets back at the end of his solo mission to Wild Space he'll buy some additional stuff. All privy to GM approval, but there's nothing crazy.

As for his CR Requisition, he's saving that up for a "Superior" customization for a pistol down the road, which is a Rarity 6 and a credit value of 5000. If the GM doesn't want us to "save up" requisitions I'll figures something else out.

In other news, it looks like The Old Republic has a "Zep Rowsdower" body-type!

I'm baaaaack

Your shopping list looks totally fine, and I'm cool with saving up a CR upgrade for that. The upgrade price limits I've been hewing to have been pretty much around 2-3 thousand per level so far, so that'd fit the bill.
