Just wanted to say I am rather enjoying being able to follow an Aurora LP from near(ish) the start. The more localised scope also helps.

I've put my name down in the spreadsheet to show patriotism for a mighty Mars. I'm sure there's the capability to do so but is there any merit in designing an AWACS-like ship, similar to the 'scout-fighter' just larger in scale?

I vote for Type 8 and Levy, this will be a missiles vs PD arms race.

We're taking Saturn or our ball home with us.

Huh I am in third fleet after all, huzzah for battlefield promotions I guess? What a great chance for myself and 005 squadron to show the corpies just how red martian blood is.

Went about as well as I expected, got some good hits in though. Is that :rip: me or am I fuming impotently at a radar screen?

Can I also be placed in another fighter Saros?

If it's not too much trouble could said ship be renamed "Nickel Ogre" for ease of identification in my sudden but inevitable death for the future of Mars.

Btw Special Branch totally secured the triumvir. Should be lock their ship real quick?

Even in the Martian Navy there is such a thing as "above our pay-grade".

They did worse than go up in flames. They voluntarily emptied their tanks into space. All that captured fuel now making a ring around Titan.

Will this have an impact on Sorium harvesting operations in the future? Not sure how quickly it will diffuse out into space but surely transport vessels might run a risk of igniting it in Low-Titan-Orbit with their engines?

e: Titan not Saturn

Survey the new system. Are potentially regular 1d10 SAN checks going to be worth the cost? Does a purpose-built ship fair better? More data is good.
Do not break in to the sealed zones of Pluto Facility. Angering the AI is not a smart move, even if it did get the Terran's attention.

The potential risk to the crew is outweighed by the reward to the Federation Turn on the active sensors.

1C We really need to see the larger context before we try to get exclusive rights to a system a) which may be hazardous b) is currently hazardous to travel to.

Made up of surviving veterans of the war who lost their ships the 1st Cruiser squadron is an elite unit with great expectations. It also has the first jump compatible carrier attached commanded by Lt-Gen Z the IVth.

An odd quirk of my named ship exploding and not personally being on it, I'm certainly not complaining. :)

1. Infrastructure and ships to Raguni
2. Release info on jump sickness, just not that it can cause you to nuke your own homeworld.
3. Focus on Galileo
4. Rename Galileo "Traf" for new opportunities and because it's a coin-flip there won't be anything here to freak out High Command

Were were only able to ultimately succeed in this engagement through superior tonnage and the tenacity of our Destroyer Squadron. One xeno vessel was able to flee and potentially warn others. We are not well suited for nebula warfare at all so this will require extra-system operations. We're probably way over our heads so:

Yes, inform Terra of the contact as stated in the Luna Accords

The game is set to use a Hindu mythology namelist for the Pit Alien ships and picked this one at random.
Is that for contact designations only or for ship-classes too? If the former then are these two factions we're seeing? As an aside the MFN Iron Duke is a Taiaha and and not the lead ship of her class.

Even though Saros hasn't called for a vote I'd like to Zap Shiva if they gain on us without trying to communicate, while withdrawing to escort our captured/damaged vessels to Raguni

We can take that cripple with us and we can prepare to self-district the Pollux class ship "Iron Duke", if needed. If we're lucky we get some ships out alive but it all depends how much The Pit aliens want combat. At least our microwaves should prevent them closing in for a quick kill. If they make that mistake then we might just burn out all their active sensors

MFN Iron Duke is a Taiaha and just jettisoned all her missiles to avoid blowing up, we die in glory, but we die with our red claws and teeth wrapped firmly around a delicious fartcrab.

Send the fleet, split it

Of course I wanted to fight to the death but my XO dragged me into an escape pod before I did something stupid. Even so, this is the SECOND of my name-ships being destroyed :sigh:. Perhaps I need to change the name, Tin Count? I'll think on it.

I'm pretty interested to see how this affects Earth's politics. Even if we save the colony this is still a monumental failure on UT's part that will destroy the confidence of their public and set off a fingerpointing shitstorm.

After some negotiation with the Terrans the Tenacious Knave is allowed to return to Sol for repair using the Terran jump point. The Terrans assure you that they are diverting a large amount of force to secure the system and your presence is no longer necessary. In initial discussions about salvage rights the Terrans seem willing to concede one or two ships in return for being able to take charge of all the ejected Aliens.

Hey Terrans got to eat too right? A marine's ability to do possibly leathal poo poo on a dare transcends nationality.
