I'm sure everyone has played it already, but OW is probably one of the best games Ive played. Just a joyful experience, even when you accidentally slam your spaceship into a planet at terminal velocity.

Looks like I'll have to buy the game but I'm cool with that. It's a fantastic game and everyone should play it! I bet it leaving GP means the DLC is imminent.

I bounced off Outer Wilds on PS4 after an hour I think mainly because it made the console go into full jet engine mode which really ruined the ambiance of the whole thing. I'm going to try it again. Thank you GamePass

I’ll admit to not really giving it a fair shake, but the first planet I went to was an awful experience with the combination of ship controls and undulating oceans. That and the little story at your home planet starts out pretty rote and boring IMO. Terrible first impression after 30min and since it was a Game Pass joint I just deleted it. Had I heard all the GotY talk before playing it I may have given it another half hour.

My first impression of The Outer Wilds was also not great. The opening area didn't quite grab me, and my first bits of exploration and puzzle solving didn't result in an "Ah-ha!" moment. Nothing terrible but nothing that hooked me either. The fact that I was running it on PC and the game didn't play nice with G-Sync didn't help. The Outer Worlds was a perfectly fine game. Felt pretty good, had some fun ideas, didn't explore some of them enough. If it was a food it would be a ham sandwich. And some goons would take one bite then stumble away dramatically, claiming it was the foulest dish ever made, inedible, a pile of rat poison.

The thing with Outer Wilds is that it's not really clear from the outset what it is (a 22 minute time loop where you use the combined gain knowledge of each loop) so without that explanation it's just confusing until it clicks.

I love Outer Wilds, also understand why some people might have bounced off it, but if you haven't played it then it's definitely one of those games everyone should at least try before it disappears from Game Pass.

It seems likely that the dlc is gonna be a new campaign that follows on from the "14 billion years later" good ending. Its title is Echoes of the Eye and the ~2 seconds of footage we've seen show architecture completely unlike anything in the base game, which heavily suggests it's set in a new universe

I just noticed they finally put up the Playground Games sign outside their new studio theyve been working on for years. It's right by my house. I yelled at them not to gently caress up the new Fable. I think they were listening. My six year old asked me what a Fable was.

Tried playing Knockout City. Seemed fun for a bit, but as an older guy it's much too twitchy when you start doing good and get into the competitive play. Not for me.

plague tale owns the mechanics keep changing as you progress and reach a really satisfying endpoint. it plays like a janky naughty dog game with some handholding escort stuff like ico tho so i could see some people getting frustrated but it is absolutely a game you need to see the end of cause its crazy
