I buy physical because: -I have GCU from Best Buy -Physical games are always on sale like a month or so down the road, and GCU applies to sales too -I don't keep games and either sell them or trade them in Its WAY cheaper than going digital and totally worth having to spend a couple seconds putting a disc in. Also streaming movies is garbage if you have even a somewhat decent home theater setup. Lossless audio on blu-rays is why I will generally always choose to rent/buy physical over streaming; especially with 4K/HDR.

gently caress off, I have no problem using computers, I just don't like how often I'm dealing with things that shouldn't happen. That's not on me, and if you were honest with yourself you'd admit how much you have to baby your poo poo to make it work properly. It's better than it was a decade ago, but it's enough to be annoying when you value time more than anything.

Side by side HDR10 vs Dolby Vision was just meh to me. HDR10+ will be out soon and will probably make DV disappear as it’s the same thing without a licensing fee. All 16+ Samsung UHD TVs are HDR10+ compatible now thanks to a firmware update. 4k blu ray rules, but Apple has done a really fine job with their 4k encodes. It’s too bad streaming audio is garbage in comparison.

I decided to play RE7 and then immediately laughed and shut it off because it looks like complete poo poo (no XbonX patch yet). Minecraft level pixelated foliage. I just finished TEW2 and its a good game but holy poo poo it have some massive frame drops even on the Most Powerful Console on Earth: The XBox One X. I was hoping to jump right into RE7 but there's still no One X patch. WTF capcom After that i'll go back and play FH3 for 30 minutes to see the improvements and then RIP xbox see ya on craigslist. I played Monster Hunter World beta and was bored as rather quickly and it ran like garbage on every PS4 Pro setting in one way or another. I'd imagine its a similar experience on Xbox One X because lets be real its not really that much better and devs are lazy.

the only reason people defend backwards compatibility is that there are no other games to play right now until the next big release (see RDR2). BC is niche and most people do not give a poo poo to play Gears of War 2 in 4k for 37 minutes, then say "hey that was pretty, but I don't feel like playing this game I beat 10 years ago again" and shelve it forever.
