If this presentation is like the last Nintendo Direct, they've gone to a hyperfast headline-to-headline style of presentation where they try to cram as many games in as possible rather than have wacky bits with Reggie/Bill. some games only get a minute, some games maybe get 2-3 minutes

also this news bit went relatively under the radar a week or so ago but xenoblade 2 is supposedly delayed but not by very long, to feb 2018. it could still show up in this direct as a result

I think everyone is pretty sure animal crossing is a thing but whether it'll get announced today depends on whether it's coming this fiscal year or not. there's a mobile animal crossing game coming this year and it's supposed to have connectivity with the next AC game

actually I wonder if the treehouse will talk about the mobile stuff at all

honestly if you told me Nintendo developed this i would believe you, it looks pretty polished and has the proper tempo and atmosphere and music of Metroid

like if you wanted more info on the stuff you already knew about then Sony was fine but if you look to E3 for what's next, it seems like there were very few new game reveals across the entirety of E3 and the majority of them came from Nintendo (with some from Ubisoft like that fuckin toys-to-life game) and the rest indies

Switch has Rocket League and it has cross-network but you wont be able to play against PS4 because of Sony

e: You can play Rocket League between Xbox One, Switch, and PC. So Xbox One and Switch can play against each other, but neither can play against PS4

i'm pretty happy that the 3DS is getting a nice send-off, compared to how the Wii and Wii U were just completely abandoned in their final year

I hope that companies also take Atlus' example and keep 3DS afloat even longer with DS remasters

i feel bad that Ever Oasis is kind of being sent off to die, they haven't talked about it at all at E3 and it comes out in just a couple of weeks

they should at least put out a demo or something to get people hyphy

apparently Mario Odyssey has multiplayer but they aren't talking about it at E3

I wonder if it's like Mario Galaxy's "collect the star bits" multiplayer or if there will be some sort of drop-in co-op

you play as the bad guy and at one point the things that you do are literally not what actually happened as the game tells you later. it's such a breach of trust between game and player that it's not surprising that people like me would get ripped out of the experience by seeing that. it's not a clever twist, it's just "HA HA SYKE!!!"
