Started this game last week and am enjoying it so far. I'm honestly suprised I'm still playing despite not having more story quests to play since I usually lose patience with ftp. Have resisted temptation to spend money on the game despite my only 4* servants being Marie, lily and Nero. If i ever do pay money I'm sure the gatcha will just give me more verdant black keys. If only there was an easy way to grind materials. I only need 2 more octuplet crystals to get Nero to 3rd ascention but they refuse to drop. I'm well aware it gets worse. If i ever get a 5*servant the grind will be the death of me.

drat it! All I need to max out Kojirou is some infinity gears but I just can't get them! Isthere gonna be an update that allows for easy farming of them in the near future? Those 2 gears are the only thing stopping me from dumping all my grails into him.

I saved my quartz for when servants with good atk had a rateup as my team is hurting for damage dealers. Had 160 odd quartz and was hoping for Kintoki, though I would have been happy with saber alter. Rolled them all today. No 5 star servants and the only 4 stars I got were duplicates (Seigfried, Marie and Elizabeth). Rest were craft essences or servants whose NP I already maxed. Like a fool I bought some more quartz to get another 10 role. Same result. Welp, after spending 190 quartz (including £35 of paid quartz) yesterday and getting jack poo poo I decided to try my 6 summon tickets. It was kinda weird in that I got more good stuff in these rolls than all my previous quartz rolls since I started playing 40 odd days ago: 1st ticket- a silver saber that transformed into a golden saber which revealed itself to be Saber alter. I'm guessing the weird summon animation was a result of the rate up taking effect. 2nd and 3rd : 2 black keys craft essences 3rd: GOLDEN (!) 4th: The black grail craft essence(!!) 5th: Robin hood (ehh, already have at max NP) 6th: Artoria Pendragon (!!!) 2 5 star servants and 1 4 star from 6 tickets was quite the thrill. Just wish I had more saber and berserker pieces. On that note, is it worth bothering to level up both Artorias or should I just focus on one for now? From what I can see Artoria has better stats and skills but Saber Alters Noble Phantasm is much stronger.

Thanks everyone for your input. Seems both Artoria and Alter are nice to have, but their overlap means I should just focus on one for now. Looking ahead I'm gonna have to dive into grinding dragon fangs either way. Both of them also need a poo poo load of saber pieces to ascend (i currently have 0). Welp! Time to begin the long grind

Decided to roll my last 3 quartz today for the chance to grab waver. Ended up grabbing Lancelot (one of my favs) so I'd call that a win. Honestly had a good run with this rate up. I spent a lot of quartz and while I got a lot of crap I also grabbed Kintoki, Artoria (5* and Alter) and now Lancelot. Not what I expected but a wins a win. Looking ahead I know the fuyuki rate up is kinda crap but I really want to grab EMIYA. Yes I know he's not the best archer and I can grab him as a support but I want my own drat it!

Managed to roll my own Emiya with a random 3 quartz roll today. Been playing for 2 months and my luck has been pretty good. My golds so far are: Artoria(NP 2), GOLDEN, SAlter, Marie, Martha Emiya, Siegfried, Elizabeth, Lancelot, Saber Lilly, Stheno and Nero. Granted, I threw £30 down in an attempt to get waiver (which landed me Artoria and Golden). Clearly I've used up all my good luck and its Kirei's and black keys from here on. Wow Okeanos is cool. Really enjoyed it, much better than Rome. Decided to use all my quartz from login and Okeanos on a 10 pull gatcha to try and grab anne and mary. Ended up with Artoria (bringing her to NP 3) and Drake (!!!). Not what I wanted but certainly welcome. Feeling lucky I used all my summon tickets. Grabbed 2 Euryales and Chevalier D'eon. I'm bafflled at how generous the gatcha is being right now. Am seriously tempted to spend money to keep this streak going. In a few months this game will probably have ruined my life.

From what I've seen so far drakes versitility means that a lot of craft essences work well on her. Since she charges her NP so fast I feel that Kaleidoscope is less helpful on her than other servants and prefer anything that increases her damage (buster or crit depending on your team). That said, most things work and it sounds like imaginary around is serving you well.

Speaking of the Halloween event, this gives us Caster Elizabeth for free doesn't it? Anyone know if she's any good? Will max her out regardless since she only needs event items for ascention but would be a nice bonus if she's a decent caster.

Your more likely to get crit stars if you use green quick cards and/or use attacks that hit multiple times. In general this means having servants with a few quick cards in their deck so you can get multiple quick chains. Servants with only 1 quick card (like Altria) are usually a poor fit for a quick team because having only 1 quick card means you're much less likely to get quick chains, meaning you struggle to consistently get enough crit stars. There are exceptions to this though. Drake and Gilgamesh only have 1 quick card so appear to be a bad fit at first glance. However, all of their attacks hit multiple times so they still generate a respectable (or in Gils case ridiculous) amount of crit stars. Yep, you want a mix of servants who can generate crit stars and servants who can capitalise on the stars generated. Part of the reason Gilgamesh does so well on a crit team is that he can do both effectively. His attacks produce a good number of stars and his collector skill allows him to hoard any crit stars generated by the team. When Gil crits on a buster he does insane damage. Anne and Mary are also a natural fit for a crit team since they have 2 buster cards and all their active skills are about making them crit harder and more often.

If nothing else I'm looking forward to this event mostly for the reverse dragon scales I need to ascend Lancelot and Drake. Lancelot is my priority as he's been stuck in first ascension for ages because none of the dragons would drop reverse scales. I have enough of everything else that I can just rush Lancelot to max ascension after this event. Anything else is a bonus. Shifting gears, as someone who only plays the US version why is Musashi so desirable from a gameplay perspective? There are a lot of good 5* Sabers so I'm curious as to what makes her stand out.

God i'm tempted to whale for Tamamo after using her as a support a few times. From what I've seen she makes some servants ridiculously good (can see her and Vlad working really well). Only thing stopping me is a lack of disposable funds at the minute. On the subject of 5* servants over the course of playing this game I've somehow rolled 3 Artorias. While I understand she's sub par later her NP is ridiculous right now. If she hits a weakness she outdamages Kintoki (granted his NP is level 1 but still...). The halloween event seems much better than the dango event so far. Lots of gold apples and the shop is full of ascension items I need. Only gripe is pumpkin farming but at least it's not as tedious as farming tens of thousands of dangos. Finally, on a completely off topic tangent, DisDisDis where is your avatar from? I'm sure I've seen it or something by the same artist before but cannot recall where for the life of me. Tried google but no dice.

Well I just got 2 halloween princesses as drops. This event is treating me well. Looking ahead, a limit broken halloween princess seems pretty awesome. I'm probably going to use it as part of my regular setup once the event is over.

Considering how much love Elizabeth gets I'm suprised the devs haven't put her "Dark Eliza" form from Extella into the game. That one would allow a berserker/avenger version without having to justify it via yet another holy grail.

Nero was definitely good in Extra. What sold me on her was that early in the game there is an optional scene where you can have your servant explain what the holy grail war is. Archer and Caster give the standard explanations you'd expect. Nero on the other hand gets as far as "The Seven servant classes are Saber, Archer... and I forget the rest but all you need to know is saber is the strongest class and I am the best Saber!" I'm at the point where I could buy out the shop with some grinding but It's honestly become a grind at this point. The only things I need are maid in halloween (which I honestly don't care about) and the saber pieces (which I have in abundance). Getting the materials is certainly doable but I really don't want to spend my apples when I know GudaGuda is just around the corner and has poo poo I need. By the way, am I right in thinking that caster liz is the best waveclear caster in the game? I'm certain that's true in NA but does she get usurped later?

Well the next characters I care about getting are EMIYA (alter and assassin) so for the first time in a long while I'm actually gonna save quartz instead of just throwing it all down on the latest banner. I'll still be using tickets as and when I get them but 10 rolling every baner till then would be pointless. Speaking of ticket summons, I got my weekly login ticket and decided to have one last pull despite the fact that throwing my last stock of quartz on Tamamo got me jack poo poo. No sparkly animation so I'm guessing it's another Lu Bu (I roll him more than black keys) It was Herkules  Thank god GudaGuda will provide some octuplet crystals cause I'm drowning in good servants who need octuplet crystals. Wow, Gudaguda coming this quickly is nice. With this I'm gonna be able to ascend Emiya, Anderson, Kintoki and Artoria by the time all this is done. At the very least I plan on maxing out anderson and feeding him all my grails. He's probably the best caster I'm gonna get for a while so he deserves to be made golden. poo poo, I'm gonna need to grind QP.

Used a smattering of free quartz. Didn't get Okita but I managed to push Emiya to NP 2 so that's more than I expected tbh. Not gonna spend money on this banner. As good as she is, she doesn't synergise well with my team, and I already hit the jackpot with Kintoki, drake and Artoria. By the time they stop pulling their weight better options will be in the gatcha. Oh well, at least this event will let me max ascend a ton of servants.

So I decided to spend the 3 quartz I have earned from this event because even though I refuse to put more money into this until JAlter I have no impulse control. I got Okita  Am i right in thinking GUDA-O craft essences drop in the 20 AP quest? Need to farm it so I can buy octuplet crystals at some point so if it has a chance of dropping that would be good to know. Since a lot of new players are asking about this event I drafted a guide for a beginner with limited resourses to get the most out of GUDAGUDA: I just started playing and can't/don't have enough free time to buy out the shop. Is playing this event pointless? Not at all. Even if you just started, have no 5* servants and your only 4* is Stheno you can still get a lot out of the event. Other goons have already explained how to buy out everything in the event shop. However, if your new to the game it will be very time consuming (especially with only 3* Servants). That said you definitely want to grab Nobunaga. She's a good servant and will easily see you through until you get better stuff. Here's how to get the most out of this event: 0- If you haven't already complete Fuyuki. You won't be able to add Nobunaga to your party until then. 1- Before you do any quests put Nobunaga in your party and keep her there for all event quests. Doesn't have to be in the front row, any slot is fine. For your support use Okita (the saber promoted on the banner) with a GUDA-O craft essence. 2- Do all the events story quests. This gives you access to the 1AP daily quests. The final boss is a level 25 archer so if you made it through orleans this will be a cakewalk. 2- Do the 1AP quest every day. This shows up once a day and provides a ton of Honnoji points. Even in a worst case scenario where you have no event craft essences having a support Okita and Nobunaga in your party will still earn enough points from these quests alone to get Nobunaga to permanently join your party. 4- Repeat the 10 AP quest until you have earned 500 Nasu's (the brown orb currencies that enemies drop). Use them to buy 1 GUDA-O craft essence and 1 Golden Skull (Nobunaga's ascension item). 5- Repeat the 20 AP quest until you get 500 blue tea cups. Use them to buy 1 GUDA-O craft essence and 1 Golden skull. 6- Repeat the 30AP quest (40 AP quest has better drops but is probably too tough for someone new to the game) until you have 400 Hiragumo. Use these to buy the last 2 golden skulls. Congratulations, you now have everything you need to get a 4* Archer at max ascension! Optional- if you manage all that before the quest ends, focus on buying as many ascension items as you can from the shop (ignore the Fous and exp cards). At the very least you want to look up your favourite servants on the wiki and see if any of them will need ascension items that are on sale in the shop. If they do grab as many of them as you can. This should also give you enough points to earn a second copy of Nobunaga to get her to NP 2 (increasing her NP beyond this is nice to have but very grindy and not essential) Nyeehg fucked around with this message at 22:19 on Nov 12, 2017 |

I'm at 519k points right now. Not too concerned about it, the 1ap quest drops get insane by the end. I'm more concerned about grabbing all the hearts in the shop. They're all that's stopping me from max ascending Emiya and Kintoki. Would also be nice to grab some horseshoes and gears to max Anderson but I'm down to my last golden apple. Speaking of max ascending servants, Stheno is worthless in this rider quest. Does she ever get better or was investing in her a huge mistake?

Finally got all the hearts from the shop and earned all the point rewards. Would be nice to get more and gorgon eyes but none have dropped for me so far. I must say I never believed I would be hurting for exp cards. After this event though I've went from needing none to needing them for 9 different servants. Each of them need about 12-15 gold cards per level so that's gonna be a grind. To top it all off, I only have enough hearts to max ascend either Drake or Kintoki and I'm not sure who to prioritise (love both so prioritising favs isn't helpful).

So I gave each of the new banners a 10 roll not expecting much. I got Tamamo and Fragments of 2030 . Tamamo was a welcome suprise as I spent more than I care to admit trying and failing to get her on halloween.Not rolling anymore as I don't wanna push my luck. Still, this is much better than I expected
