Started this game over in English. Almost got my Elizabeth to max. Altera in the works. Not a bad start. I miss my Irisviel and Prisms Illya servants.

Despite clearing everything in Fuyuki, all the map markers still have a "1" notification over them. Is this a bug?

I agree, but what is the proper name now? Everything I've ever seen in released English Fate poo poo, including the recently released Fate/Extella PS4 game, has it as Artoria. It wasn't until Grand Order did Altria become a thing. Why not just look at it like "Sorry. Our Engrish bad. It can now fix," and actually have it work in harmony with everything else? I know this seems like I'm stomping around a molehill like it's a mountain, but it just bugs me.

There's a plethora of typos and terrible translations in the game as of this version. The Rome chapter is comically bad when they try to get Nero's emotions across. Apparently they only had like three people working on this?

Only on Grand Order merch. I saw that in the interview and am still baffled by how utterly clueless they seem to be. This only seems to further prove that "these clowns" is a good way to refer to the team handling the work on this game.

If you can't see the incompetence in the article you just took a snippet from then I've got nothing for you. Granted, that doesn't play into the lovely romanization that was given when the translations for the basic things like loving names were already done by other companies, but it's just another instance in a growing number. It's really not hard to see.

Because many of them don't. The ratio is in my favor so I make it work. A lot of them even have big boobs because breast size and revealing attire are directly related to the amount of money people will spend on mobile gachapons.

I may actually spend money to get Bride Nero when she comes out.

The few translation failures don't really hinder gameplay and you can usually get the story in spite of them. The game's release went well and my 1 complaint is not being able to associate my account with Gplay, something that was never in the JPN version anyway.

I feel that if your title is all-encompassing of the rest of the entire franchise then you'd have an idea of what is relevant to your new projected fanbase regardless of what third parties have the licenses. Especially as a higher up, you should at least seem to have your finger on the pulse. That's just me though.

As for the translation, the naming bit irks me since you'd think they'd want to maintain some sort of uniformity, but whatever. The quality of actual dialogue in the game does need some serious attention though. Like, god drat.

I support your Saber Bride pick. She was my main lead in JPN and with Waver was very fun to play. I do miss having so many 5 stars to play with but I like being able to read the things I see.

The overall dialogue is okay until you get to Rome. Then it seems like they were on crunch time to make the release date because the quality not only in dialogue but with typos and spacing errors really goes all over the place. Then again, if it's true that there were only like three people doing the localization, then you gotta feel kind of bad for them.

And yes, I miss my old servants but do prefer being able to read the story even if I feel the quality leaves much to be desired.

Nero is by far my favorite Saber and yes, she does still come off over-the-top as she should. But some of her reactions and the way they wrote her dialogue just feels...lacking? She was fantastic in Extella when Marvelous handled her. Maybe I'm just jaded, but when Nero straight up says "Gotcha!" I got a little upset.

At the least they need a dedicated copy editor on their team, which they very clearly don't. Not even just for story and UI stuff, a lot of which is dire, but just like the Gil announcement today is full of nonsense and typos, and it's like less than a page of text.

edit: Like, more than I'm comfortable with, it feels more of a credit to the original dialogue than to the skill of the translation that a lot of the charm of the characters shines through, and that is not good. There are good parts here and there, but I hope they can improve considerably for later chapters and are just going through growing pains or something.

It's not really bad but it does feel very bare bones. If you're not going into it to listen to Nero and Caster go on about their Master, then there's not a big draw I don't feel.

This game is terrible.

Liz isn't the best servant in-game, but I loved her in Extella so I use her on my main team here. Her debuff NP helps as well depending on your setup.

She was in my first charity 10-pull. #Blessed

Use who you like then just pick an optimum Support from your friends list when you go into a fight. I mean, if you don't like the characters you're using then what's the loving point?

I've got Tamamo and she does decent damage, but holy poo poo she is squishy as all hell. The enemy seems hellbent in focusing her down as quickly as possible so I think I've gotten to use her NP like...twice?

First season is a solid watch and I recommend it. Second season cranked up the bullshit fanservice to an obscene level and the OVA was even more pandering. It can be hard to get through at times. Third season is very story heavy and a decent watch but was super compressed at the end. I think the movie is addressing that.

Why, why, why does she suffer an attack and defense penalty for using her Noble Phantasm??? Also Buster-based NP on an Arts-based Caster. At least it's single-target. Strike 3.

Burster Buff is meant to be used with her NP, which you should be charging non-stop since she has 3 Arts cards as well as a passive ability that charges her NP every turn regardless. So also has an ability to increase her NP charge rate so overcharging her is ridiculously easy. Her NP is a drat good hit too despite the debuff that shouldn't be there. I think you can use her guts ability to potentially cancel the debuff, but I can't remember off-hand. Is that the chance thing you're referring to?

Also, her special craft essence gives the entire party an 8% boost to loving everything which is great.

That's a fair assessment. I remember using Illya as a backline support with her crafted essence and just had her stack NP until she was overcharged as all hell then one-shot whatever she was targeting. I always considered her a one-trick character, but I never considered her to be bad per say. :shrug:

After having so little luck on the currently available free quests and dailies, I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that a far better use of everyone's AP would be to just wait for these events. If you want something to do now finish up any free quests, interludes, and/or grind mana prisms.

I've only got like three more story things to finish grinding for the quartz, then it's back to grinding missions. I'm gonna spend so much poo poo during Nero Fest to get her since it'll be a while before we get Bride.
