Never Alone (or Kisima Inŋitchuŋa) is a cooperative two-player platformer. You can play it single-player, but it's not as much fun. So I decided to play it with my sister (Salixia). We're pretty bad at it, but we're having fun.

The game is based on a traditional Iñupiaq story, with one player controlling the human character, Nuna, and the other controlling her companion, an arctic fox (or weasel as Salixia would have it). As you play, you unlock educational videos, but I won't be including them because that feels more like ripping off a documentary than a let's play. Also, I played part way through solo before starting this, and the game tracks collectables between playthroughs, so the ones I got are missing from these videos. So at least for a while you won't see any of the "you just unlocked a video" notifications.

We haven't finished the game yet, but I have a few episodes worth of footage recorded, so I'm planning to put out one episode per week. But I am phenomenally bad at sticking to a schedule with let's plays, so we'll see.

I'm really happy to see this LP! I've been hoping to see a co-op run of it, as I played it on my own and that is tough at times.
From what I played (I don't really know how far off finishing it I was) there are a few things where co-op definitely makes it easier, but it mostly worked pretty well, I thought.

My experience of Never Alone was forcing my way through the lovely gameplay (it gets worse) for the good videos.
I've actually enjoyed what I've played of it.

Anyway, here's part two. We don't get any better at the game but we're a bit more relaxed, and I think that makes for a better video. Things start to improve from here on.

Part three is here! We get chased by a polar bear again, and solve a couple of puzzles without understanding how we did it.

These parts (especially the section up in the trees) are where the difference between single-player and co-op are really noticeable. Even with the occasional squabbling, it's a lot more fluid than moving each side separately while the other just sits there.

The chase section seems like it could be a real problem in single-player, what with the fox needing to move the obstacles aside so the girl can get past.
