Just curious if I am multi-boxing correctly. I was able to get three instances of Nox running on the toaster and leveled up a tank (dark elf), healer (not dark elf), and a spinny sword elf chick. Other than the correct answer*, is this a good use of multiple accounts?

*Don't play a phone game, times three, on the computer.

I've just discovered that skill slots share the same cooldown timers across skill sets.
E.g. I have my buffs on slot1/slot2, set 1. Then when I switch to set 2 for my attack skills, I can't use slot1/slot2 because they're on cooldown.

Nothing really bad, it's just a lot slower leveling than if I played a DPS. It's steady, and I'm sure i can kill higher level stuff, but knocking out daily stuff just takes a long loving time on a tank.

I made a dual-wield warrior to mess with, just because it seems really easy to run around solo in elite dungeons and tap a bunch of enemies, and then lead them toward someone who's semi-afk-grinding. Even if you're paying attention you have maybe a 2 second window to run the gently caress away FAR, or you're just dead. Pretty funny but I guess it's what you get for using up 10 soul shots per second due to your crazy-high attack speed.

This was posted on Reddit yesterday. If you are unsure of how to progress, that will get you started in the right direction.

I still think we should consolidate the two clans into one of active members so that we have all of us under one roof.

Apologies to everyone in Tricksters, I thought we could wrangle enough people together this evening, to check out Adena Dungeons and/or Clan Dungeons. It was not meant to be this evening.

I will try to get something going tomorrow evening (PST, GMT -7/8) but can we make a date for TUESDAY EVENING as a like, official, "everybody shows up and learns to do the dungeon"? I am pretty gutted that we didn't get our communication together because I had made some assumptions about how in-game PMs worked, and I guess they were missed. My bad for making a bunch of assumptions.

So, Tricksters, Tuesday night, if you're over level 31 you'll be welcome to attend (if you're higher or lower level, I don't know if you'll be dead weight or not, so I can't make that judgment yet, but I will try to stay online to help anybody who wants/needs it before or after.)

If people want a different night I'm totally open to do something then, or before or after. I just realized that 12 hours of PMs was not enough to get folks organized for a virgin try at this stuff

As of the time of this post I've counted 8 people who haven't logged on in 3 days or more in Clan Shine. Is it worth thinking about consolidating already?

Zotix
Aug 14, 2011

We should definitely consolidate so we have all active contributors under one roof. The guild will level up steadily then and we can slowly add new players as the guild levels up daily.

Go ahead and boot anybody you want, that jiangbao guy was a random, as are at least 2 others I can't recall offhand. I invited a few randoms when we only had 5 people, just so it didn't feel like a ghost town. ;)

Anybody with less than 50 contribution points will probably be kicked tomorrow on the assumption they are a random or quit - but seriously if you're over level 25, you ought to have enough blood and stones laying around in your inventory to get over 50 contribution points without even trying to collect any (I had like 120+ blood in my inventory at level 25 just from quest rewards and stuff, and that's like 60 points right there, at 20 per turn-in). If you are one of those folks and want to stay, just send an in-game PM to zotics or I so we are aware that you're a real person, please.

If you haven't expanded your inventory or just have a bunch of tradeable gear/materials that you don't plan to sell you can move them to your mailbox for indefinite storage to free up your inventory. Simply list it on the trading post, then cancel your listing and your item will be returned to you in your mailbox with no time limit for retrieval.

Slick trick, nice that there's no fee to list stuff in the trading post, I guess?

Also is there a price list online anywhere, for what stuff is worth? I'm starting to get enough S rank drops that I don't need them all and wouldn't mind getting some blue diamonds

Tricksters has already reached level 4 and we've got at least 5 slots open right now. It's your choice.

You may have to put up with more clan chat though.

The game helpfully tells you what the average price of the item is at the listing screen. You're also restricted to a certain range above/below that average price to stop you from listing your item at some stupid price.

Are any of the offers it flashes up now and again worth getting for a new start? Or is there some recommendation of things to get if you feel spending a little is ok?

Zotix

If you want to spend this is what I'd get in this order.
1) under bundles get the beginner bundle. It gives some gems, 200 pack space, 1k of each potion, 5k soulshots. Spend those first gems on a 10+1 pull to get some A/ S grade armor. Stop there at the 10+1 pulls, there are much better options going forward to spend gems.
2) If you want to keep spending, go to the menu. Then click shop, then under that click collection shop. Both the strengthening diamond 1, and the story are really good options. I'd probably say strengthening first for the sheer amount of red gems you'll get.

red diamond gems are the lifeblood staple of your game, yeah. I can get like 500-1k a day though just doing my thing with free quests so far, which is plenty to expand your inventory to 150ish and stuff. :)

My best tip for elites is to find something 3-5 levels below you with "elite of blood" on its name (spartoil knights are a good staple in the first 2 dungeons) and then hit autofight and go to sleep with charger plugged in.

I'm a bit gutted right now though, I took a nap w/ my mage and my warrior both autofighting, I woke up to my healer mage being totally out of mana pots and having 350+ health pots, and my warrior having barely used health pots.. and literally zero use of mana pots in 2 hours of grinding wtc!!!

Mages are likely far more gear dependant. If you had a really amazing weapon you would be powerleveling fast as hell with minimal potion usage.

I'm using an S-rank vampiric weapon, with its chain lightning it works pretty well but my mage just shits through mana like it's going out of style. (I found a vampiric sword+board last night on egg, but it was C grade and I was too lazy to try and build it up since I'll priobably see more.. ALWAYS check the random stat on weapon drops though if you want something!)

It's the main reason I say never ever donate Adena, because you might need it for mana pots :(

Big difference between S rank and R rank, and then SR. If you started and got lucky with an SR, even if it's not rare you'd be cruising compared to someone with an S rank.

Thanks I went with 1) and ended up with an S weapon and all A gear which made about 15% ish difference to what I had. Knowing most RPGs, the extra space is probably the best part. I couldn't even find the menu for 2) so I didn't bother.
I found Spartoi Archers so I'll leave it there for a few hours and see what happens.

archers are a bit iffy to grind because they may be able to aggro and spam-attack you from out of the range of your AI's autoattack-ness. I wouldn't AFK on elite ranged mobs without a nice level gap (but then I'm a healer so I'm trash in combat)

The menu button is the button at the top right of the screen that is 3 horizontal lines. You click it and it opens into character, items, challenges, events, etc. Once you open that you'll see shop on the right. Click that. Then you'll see collection shop. In there is hidden some really good items. They require an up front investment in gems but pay back like 4-10x as many over time.
