I never completed a session of either game on PC because I was too used to the console versions to want to try. Same here, at least as far as Civ2 goes. Loved that stupid PS1 version, even if the load times late in a game were atrocious because it was a PS1. My first time playing Xcom was also that obscure longbox PS1 version.
