honestly jack's an okay character and honestly kind of fun in some of the fate/grand order stuff that just writes her like a goofy kid who wants to be friends with alice, but her design is p. bad so big rip

it has jeanne and mordred but jeanne just looks similar to arturia and isn't an exact replica of her and mordred has, uh, obvious reasons to look like arturia, so it's pretty low on the saberface rankings

jeanne has a different design from arturia, she just looks similar because she's a blonde knight lady drawn by takeuchi. nero is just arturia with a different outfit, they even have the same hair. okita sits between these two extremes. proof: jeanne doesn't have an ahoge, nero does.

stair's parroting opinions from 4chan that said f/a isn't very good at the start or at the end either. it's just kinda mediocre. some good characters but it's very messily written and is trying to juggle too many people, and there's a whole lot of scenes that do nothing to advance the plot and are just characters talking about what the plot will eventually be

i hope they make changes too and the fact that nobody cares about f/a unlike f/sn where people'd cry bloody murder if they changed shirou's hair color means they might, but iunno, they'd have to do some pretty drastic reworking to make f/a work and there are just base problems of the premise (the amount of characters, sieg,) that they can't really change so much as try and work around.

if i like an anime, I'd call it good. if something is fun and exciting even if the minute-to-minute plot doesn't make much sense, then that's just because they chose to emphasize something other than detailed plotting. while they could have done that in a way that didn't create holes, I can't fault them for using an animated medium to string together a series of cool, interesting animation sequences. That makes it good. imo the trainwreck meme is just people being very afraid to say they like a show in spite of its plot holes or weirder moments. if you like kabaneri or valvrave or whatever, just say you like them.

netflix might have dumb release schedules but at least they fund anime themselves and stuff. and crunchy has issues but at least they aren't undercutting everyone and have a free option of some kind. everything ive seen about amazon's anime ventures has just seemed terrible.

fate/apocrypha's first ep wasn't as exposition heavy as fate/zero, at least. and there was actual character animation and sight gags to break it up, which was nice. still a bit infodumpy but way better than f/z's first episode. helped that it wasn't double length.

F is a solid, sturdy letter. Many good words begin with it, such as Fruit, gently caress, Fan, Filling, and Fire. In anime terms, it has given us Fullmetal Alchemist, the fire emblem anime, Free!, Full Metal Panic, Fruits Basket, and of course, the Fate series. Based on this pedigree, I am giving FLCL 2 a solid 8.17/10
