One of my coworkers just let me test his mechanical keyboard out and it was really kind of fantastic to type with; so now I'm eyeing up the Qisan Magicforce 68 key keyboard. Is there some way I can buy some doodad to make it work wirelessly?

The Magicforce keyboard that was recommended to me a couple pages back arrived this morning and I really enjoy typing on it already (which is probably why I'm being verbose on this post, sorry!). It definitely needs different keycaps though, these look like something out of a cheap 90s sci-fi film. I checked some of the links in the OP; but can anyone recommend some websites which sell keycaps at a reasonable price? I mostly just want something super colorful, like a gradient pattern.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm not looking to go too fancy/pricy for this first set; I just want something that'll replace these hideous keycaps for the time being. Quick dumb question time: the Magicforce is a 68 key keyboard which doesn't seem to be one of the options most websites offer when picking keycaps. Should I buy an 87 key set instead? Is there also some way to customize where the function key labels are printed? Montalvo fucked around with this message at 16:22 on Jul 9, 2018 |

Cool, thanks! I'm probably going to pick up some PBT caps from Amazon or Mechanical Keyboards soon. Very tempted by this or this.

I popped in some new keycaps and the typing (like the switches) feels a tiny tiny bit different. Is this just a phsychological effect or did I somehow gently caress up my keyboard like an imbecile?

I am now convinced that I somehow hosed up the switches on my keyboard's spacebar when I changed keycaps. The spacebar is noticeably less responsive and slower to push down than the other keys. Is there some way I can diagnose/fix this?

I tried taking the spacebar off and replacing it a couple of times and had no luck; so I've gone back to the original spacebar for now; and everything feels fine. I'm glad I was just overreacting! It's too bad the new spacebar wasn't a good fit. Maybe it's a manufacturing problem, or maybe I'm just not installing it properly.

Yeah, y'all are right -- if I put the spacebar down on a flat surface it does rock a little bit, especially if I press it down on the right side. I'm not in too much of a hurry to get a refund because these were literally the most bog standard PBT caps I could find on Amazon (I just wanted something to get rid of the horrible font on the caps that come with the Magicforce keyboard). I've made do by replacing some of the original keycaps so now I have a blend of white and cyan keys.

I apologize in advance for describing the problem I'm having only vaguely, but my computer savvy only goes so far. I've had a Magicforce keyboard for a while now and I love it. I've been keeping it in the office to work, but now that I'm WFH because of coronavirus I thought I'd see if I could use it to play some games on my computer at home. I've got it connected to my Macbook via a USB dock that plugs into the Macbook's USB-C port. I've noticed that when I use it to play games, holding down a particular key sends a rapid burst of commands to the game rather than one continuous command (for example, holding down 'W' to move forward will result in jittering forward motion rather than a smooth continuous stride). Does anyone know how to fix this? I really want to play Dusk and Wilmot's Warehouse.

I got a new GK64 keyboard and I absolutely adore it -- Gateron optical blue switches are a joy to type on. My only issue is that finding a set of keycaps for this are a nightmare; mainly because of the 2u left shift. Are there any websites that sell these? I found some on kdbfans and ebay but none really grabbed my interest (I like multicolor keycap sets); and AliExpress won't accept my payment methods for some reason. e: basically this layout.

Can anyone recommend any mailing lists / notification services I can sign up to that will ping me when keycaps that match certain requirements I have are announced? Basically I'm looking for a nice, complete 64 key set with a 2u left shift key but they're hard to come by and I don't want to spend hours googling every day.

Constellation I posted:2u is tough because you almost always need to get extras and the costs add up every time you need to do that. Though not as much as the split and ortho folks lol. But most of the time, the option is there for extra cost. This is a cool idea and I'll check out MechGroupBuys; thanks folks!
