You have to remember that Croc was pitched to Nintendo as a 3D Yoshi game before the N64 was even a thing, which they were very excited about until they suddenly dropped until they later just happened to reveal Mario 64 at the same E3 Argonaut was revealing Croc.

Man, Nintendo were were not nice to Argonaut. I think never making a worthwhile Starfox game after 64 is their punishment for that.

Let's see what the founder of Argonaut is doing these days:

quote:

An entrepreneur who spearheaded poker’s online revolution is now boldly claiming his latest venture can change the face of online casinos forever.

Jez San, who founded PKR.com, the innovative 3D poker site which flourished in the poker boom years of the mid-to-late 2000s, is now turning his attention to blockchain technology in his bid to do to online casinos what Uber did for urban transport.

The new venture, called FunFair, is based on Ethereum, which, like Bitcoin, is a blockchain-based platform. But the difference with Ethereum is the far superior ability to create software for it, something which is prohibitively difficult with Bitcoin.

Like Bitcoin, Ethereum is decentralized and fully auditable, so basing online casinos on it will mean all of the games and gameplay are guaranteed be free from any tampering or cheating – or being ‘provably fair’ as the blockchain term goes.

Jez told Casinopedia: “What this allows us to do is make casino games that are fair, that allow us to be transparent, which has never been possible before on any system.”

The plan is to make FunFair the platform on which a potentially limitless number of online casinos are based. FunFair provides the ‘back-end’ tech, the games and the innovations from which casino operators can launch online casinos.

This is exactly what the likes of Playtech and Microgaming offer now in the ‘regular’ online casino world.

So, in other words, FunFair wants to be the ‘Playtech’ of blockchain casinos, rather than operate any casinos itself.

It's not like Star Fox ever predicted this.

Or...maybe it did?

Think of all the poo poo you have to go play and wade through to get that high a Achievement/Trophy Count.

Like I'm just proud of my few rare/hard cheevos like clearing RE4 on the hardest difficulty, Seven Day Survivor in Dead Rising and all VR missions in MGS2. Well, maybe proud isn't the right word I guess.

I also 100% both Sonic Adventure games when they were ported over to last generation's consoles and while I got all the A ranks legit, I recall that I used well-known glitch to beef up my Chao quickly to get those Chao-related emblems done with in a reasonable amount of time.

I don't think I was ever this hardcore about gaming:

quote:

Tencent shed $15.1bn in market value on Tuesday after the Chinese technology group started limiting the time children spend on its number one game.

Honour of Kings is the top-grossing mobile game, generating revenues of about Rmb6bn ($876m) for Tencent in the first quarter of this year, according to estimates by analysts, who say more than 50m people play the game daily.

The time limits follow criticism from authorities and the public that the hit game is too addictive — and have raised fears among investors that the company is in Beijing’s sights.

Two weeks ago a 17-year-old boy in Guangzhou suffered a stroke after playing nonstop for 40 hours. Last week state media reported a 13-year-old boy in Hangzhou had broken his legs jumping from a third-floor window after his parents stopped him from playing.

Under-12s are now limited to an hour of Honour of Kings a day and cannot play after 9pm, according to the post, while those between 12 and 18 are limited to two hours a day.

Someone mentioned not remembering how to sneak in Snake Eater, you are using the directional buttons right? Using the stick will always alert guards.

Kojima really loved the PS2 controller. Like how he was one of the only people to utilize the pressure sensitive buttons to the fullest extent. This actually works against you when you're going through the extra missions in MGS2 and are trying to get through all the hold-up missions as quickly as possible.

Well people like to point to Mega Man vs. Street Fighter as an example of how they deal with things alongside with previous statements by Capcom USA saying that as long as the works are not for profit they...well I just saw this has a Patreon so now I don't know what's gonna happen.

quote:

Hello! My name is WreckingPrograms and I'm a freeware game developer. I create these in my free time purely for fun, and I do not intend to make a living from it; instead, what I'm here for is server costs. In order to make features like in-game content sharing possible, I inevitably need to host a server, which unfortunately isn't free. Since my games are exclusively freeware, I have no means to pay for the server alone, which is why I decided to create a Patreon page. All donations will go directly to server fees, and I will not be paying myself for developing my games, nor will I make a profit from them.

This seems like a sticky situation if the guy keeps the Patreon up.

It reminds me during the early years of Kickstarter where people would try and get anything and everything funded up to and including unlicensed fan projects of many varieties. Just less worse in this case because running servers DOES cost money. It's not like "This work I'm going to be giving away for totally free, I just need a few thousand dollars to live off of while I make it."

Yeah I said before that I would have been totally fine if they hadn't made any sequels to GoW and at least end the story of Kratos there.

I know the game not only hinted at a Kratos and Zeus confrontation at one point during gameplay but also had those unlockable "Potential Sequels" themselves, but the first God of War was like, a game you could actually say wrapped mostly everything up within itself.

I kind of don't believe Jim at all when he says something along the lines of not expecting his audience to track down Alex and make her feel "Internet Mob Justice", considering how long he's been at this rodeo.

Basically just mixing together powers to make something new. Anyone have any recommendations for games that use this concept? New or old, I don't mind.

The problem is always that there's usually gonna be one "Go to" combination for fighting after you've tried everything out once unless it's a combo needed for a specific reason.

Exploding Ninja Stars in Kirby and the Knife Gloves/Baseball Bat with nails for DR2 come to mind.
