If you think Serious Sam is good go download bfe and play through it on serious difficulty.

Serious Sam is not good. It's a barely passable arena shooter and bfe is a dull co-op shooter with a wholly inadvisable single player mode.

Grapplejack
Nov 27, 2007

Bfe wasn't like, terrible but there were too many enemies.

I still beat it tho. That last level in bfe can gently caress right off, I had over 2800 kills in a level that was just a long corridor and it took a good hour and a half.

What's a good serious Sam? I probably have more than one rattling around my steam library.

All of them. Play The First Encounter first, though.

edit: That said, if your complaint is "too many enemies" then it actually doesn't mean the game is bad, it means it is not the series for you by a long shot

I'm just saying when I've killed over 100 kleer skeletons and they're still spawning dudes into the little arena I'm like, "can we wrap this poo poo up already and let me kill poo poo in another room please"
The last level in bfe was the worst for this because it was quite literally a straight canyon with a boss at the end.
Maybe I shouldn't have played it on serious?? I don't know man.

Season 3 is really bad, don't get it. I'd actually say don't buy any Telltale games anymore, because they've very clearly stopped giving a poo poo.
Guardians of the Galaxy, Minecraft season 2, got season 2 are all coming out this year. I heard that they're working on Michonne 2 also.

your "character" is the Town itself, not the people you level up and hire. They will, inevitably, go crazy or die horrible deaths. Later in the game, when your high-level mooks get bumped off, you can upgrade the stagecoach so that you can hire people at higher starting levels so the end/midgame won't be as punishing. Honestly it's a game that is a long long burn so don't feel bad if you don't do EVERYTHING. Hell, even if the most you get out of it is beating the majority of the unique bosses, it's still worth the gameplay.

Yeah one thing to remember is that your heroes are tools. Don't be afraid to toss them if they get too broken, as heartless as that is.

There's also the problem of more companies relying on this and essentially choking the industry to death, since their games have multiple levels of buy-in which means less chance people will play / spend money on other games.

This is not an unusual sight for a Call of Duty game. It’s been commonplace since the series’ inception in 2003. But right there, in my first demo of the upcoming Call of Duty: World War II, I noticed a big difference.

I’d just killed a woman. A black woman. A black woman in a German uniform.

It remains to be seen how fans will react to this design choice. The second World War and its politics still looms large in our culture today. For decades, players have been comfortable playing a role that falls upon the wrong side of history. Is it any more uncomfortable for players to role-play as a Nazi soldier when the race and the gender of that soldier would never have been allowed to wear the uniform in the first place? Or have the battles of WWII become so distant in our memory that the uniforms players wear may as well be a different set of colors entirely?
