Feel bad for Sandoval  . He was the first homegrown All-Star the Giants produced in years, and a big part of the three World Series championships. I expected the deal wouldn't age well for Boston, but not that he'd fall off a danged cliff.Fortunately I didn't have to watch the last three years so I can ignore his inglorious departure and focus on the good times instead.

Weirdos on the internet can complain about Bochy or Sabean or everyone as much as they like, but it seems to me that most of the Giants' struggles can be laid at the feet of the atrocious outfield defense. Span/Pence/Gorkys would be fourth/fifth/minor league outfielders in most other organizations.
