Typically the cabin is pressurized at something like 6000-8000 feet. Above 10000 you definitely want to be pressurized (and heated).

If their doors work like ours, the opening mechanism is coupled to a pressure plate in the door; when the cabin is pressurized, the internal air pressure acts on the plate, which resists attempts to open the door while the cabin is pressurized. The greater the difference between the cabin and the outside air pressure, the harder it is to open. I never tested it in flight, obviously.
