For a moment I thought that they would try and wow Tsubasas army with the power of radio. But maybe it's much simpler and they're going to pretend to have more people than they do, flanking Tsukasas army with sound.

I didn't expect a song to be on the disc, I was expecting a first hint regarding the origins of the petrification beam.

It feels a bit like Senkuu as a different plan and is just going along with Gen so his plan can't leak.

I really want to know how Tsukasa figured out the ear guy used to work as a sonar operator. If he were on a boat it would have sunk by now, an any equipment near by would have disintergrated. Is he just picking people at random and ending up with super powered minions

Maybe the guy was famous for his ears like Gen was as a mentalist? I fear this is one plothole we just have to accept Tsukasa is extremely lucky in his picks.
The guy was apparently a master archer as well as working in a submarine.

looking forward to the Senkuu mobile

I wonder if Tsukasa wasn’t blowing a bit of smoke right from the start. Maybe what he really hates about science is that it leads to a world where, outside of pro sports, being the World’s Strongest Primate High Schooler means jack poo poo. In stone world, he can be a warrior king instead of the guy at Jiffy Lube who played a couple seasons of minor league baseball.

That was always my reading of the guy.

Manatee Cannon posted:

senku not being a punchman doesn't matter and you know it. senku's not gonna kill him so there are five options

tsukasa escapes: this would be an incredibly lame and unsatisfying end to the arc so I don't think it'll happen
tsukasa is banished: this seems remarkably unlikely as it doesn't solve the core problem of tsukasa as he still knows how to depetrify people
tsukasa joins team science: fairly likely. they've been making him more sympathetic and gave him an out on his statue breaking
tsukasa dies: team science isn't gonna kill him so tsukasa dying would be from someone (hyoga probably) on his side after they lose
wild card: some outside threat forces the two sides to collaborate

I can see tsukasa dying going down one of two ways. either tsukasa decides to join senku and hyoga kills him for it or tsukasa's about to lose and hyoga betrays him. but I think if he's betrayed, it's more likely that they'll just leave tsukasa to senku and team science

They could make him more symphatic by giving him a learning disability.
It would explain why he's pretty smart, but hates science and prefers strength. It could also give Senku a way to bring him into the fold if he can "fix" Tsukasa.

Personally I'm hoping that an outside force shows up forcing Tsukasa and Senku to cooperate. They would make such a bad team.

Boichi's art for faces getting stronger.

I've been looking into Boichi a little more, because dr Stone is so charming. Apparently he did and loved doing porn, which explains so much about some of the panel compositions.
Currently reading through Origin, which is pretty fun. I especially like some of the call outs, like the Tungsten rods actually being used as a satellite weapon, like what Senku said.
I also read HE hunt for energy, which is pretty much the Dr Stone prototype. Which makes me wonder how much of dr Stone Inagaki Riichiro actually writes.

On the subject of Dr Stone:
So how are they going to unstone a chef considering they don't have the miracle water anymore? Senku used the last bit for the hot air balloon.
I can't be the only one surprised that Senku sucks as a chef. Cooking has quite a lot of science so I would've expected the bread to at least look like bread.
And I can't wait for a genius chef to show up. What insane baking skills is he going to have. :allears:

Yea, I was complaining about Origin earlier itt and its just so bizzare and aimless and chapters seem to end just at random points instead of every single chapter being a small story

Having just caught up to Origin after binging it, I have to agree. Origin feels like it has a good story, but the pacing is horrible and they can really stand still for multiple chapters at a time to exposition to each other. Which makes HE even weirder. Maybe Kurare was also involved there.

Cipher Pol 9 posted:

I'll have to read that later, but I absolutely put the bulk of the writing responsibility on Inagaki. The character development and plot building in Dr. Stone is outstanding and he worked similar magic in Eyeshield 21.

As for the science, that's our good friend Science Consultant Kurare.

I should point out HE is unfinished.
