Basically, the search function has become useless in Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 Pro machine. Rebuilding the Index hasn't seemed to work. Seeing online that possibly a Windows update in June could have broken it, but none of the fixes proposed seem to work. Anyone else had this issue and found a workable solution. Windows 10 version 1607 (Build 14393.1378) Office version 1706 (build 8229.2073)

Yea, the June windows update caused this. You can uninstall it, and then defer updates for a month or so.

Seems its related to the indexing. I tried multiple solutions, then just ended up turning indexing off for Outlook entirely. It at least restores search functionality, but it's slow. For Outlook 2010: Outlook Options - Search - Indexing Options - Modify - uncheck Outlook. Use Search Tools - Advanced Find for advanced search options. The update also causes attachments to randomly be flagged as harmful, preventing recipients with Outlook from opening them, so that's totally awesome. Hopefully they fix their poo poo soon.

It also seems to have disabled VBA entirely? Like it disabled the OUTLVBA.dll so none of my custom forms are worth a drat.
