why doesn't splatoon have an option to invert the motion controls

Hopefully the final version or a patch gives more range on the sensitivity adjustment because I have motion and stick maxed out at 5 and it really feels like I need a 7 or 8.

i run my consoles through my pc so i can mix together the audio from the game, pc based voice chat, and maybe some music while i also watch porn on my second monitor and it's pretty great

yeah i know it's an unrealistic option for people that aren't hypergoons and most people have things like living rooms and tvs and furniture, i'm just saying that i like it

headphones sound a lot better than speakers unless you have high end speakers and a room that's set up right so i use headphones 100% of the time for all games and movies

even if you don't care about sound quality, being able to tell what's going on around you in games is pretty cool

I've tried using Bluetooth audio on my soundbar from an iPad and the sound was delayed by like, 1 whole second. Is that a thing with headphones?

It seems like a lot of Bluetooth audio devices increase the buffer length depending on how strong they think the signal is. If I'm right next to my PC I get about 1/8 second of latency, just enough to piss me off. If I get far enough away for wireless to have a possible benefit over wired there's over a second of delay and it's totally unusable.

I'm still trying to get over the motion controls feeling awkward. The main problem is trying to aim down when I'm on high ground. Even with max sensitivity and constantly Y-resetting I feel like there are tons of times where I bottom out with how far my wrists will twist down and I'm always holding my controller at an awkward angle

As someone who basically never plays console shooters I'm doing a lot better with motion controls than twin stick, but the sensitivity seems ridiculous. I have the motion and stick sensitivities both maxed out at 5 and it feels like I need at least double that. Hopefully they patch the game to just let you use whatever number you want instead of having a limited range slider.

Is it really typical for console stuff to have low stick sensitivity like this or is Splatoon just weird?

I'm still refusing to send in my left Joy-Con for repair. In 30 years there's guaranteed to be some dumbass collector who will pay thousands for an unrepaired launch day left Joy-Con.

If I'm really lucky the next Smash Bros. will have a technique that requires a broken Joy-Con and I'll be able to retire early.

Hopefully the end of Miiverse also means the end of having separate logins for "Nintendo Acccount" and "Nintendo Network ID". Trying to figure out what accounts connected to what pissed me off enough that I packed my 3DS back into its box about a year ago and haven't touched it since.

Especially considering the only thing you can login to a 3DS with is a NNID, and there's no mention of Nintendo Account on it at all.

Unless you link the accounts, in which case it becomes random what combination of usernames and passwords work on a given day. Then if you try to set both accounts to have matching passwords you get locked out of both until you do a password reset.

Do the other console ports of Doom have the usual console FPS problem where turning around takes forever even with the stick sensitivity maxed out? If they address that and also add gyro aiming I could see it being downright playable.

It'd also be my first portable FPS since GBA Doom.

Doom's aiming and movement is fast as poo poo even without sensitivity maxed out on the PS4, especially compared to the typical console FPS. It controls like Quake but with AAA graphics. About as good as you can get without going mouse/keyboard. You will not be disappointed when it comes to that.

Awesome. I didn't expect it to be too screwed up, but it seems like 90% of devs don't realize that thumbsticks are analog or something.

I still haven't taken my Switch out of the dock. If I'm out of the house in the first place, it's because I have something to do and I go do that thing instead of playing Switch. It's not like a GBA where you can just pull it out during a few minutes of downtime here and there because it can't be carried in a pocket.

The portability aspect is cool, but to me it's portable in the same way a laptop computer is. And I'm not going to walk around town with a bag full of Nintendo Switch poo poo just in case the opportunity to play it for a bit arises.

I really like it when games come with a reversible cover that you can flip around to have really nice box art, but the art on the inside is always so much better that I'm left wondering why they didn't just use it as the regular cover that people see on store shelves. Splatoon 2 has one of the coolest covers I've ever seen on the inside, while the outside makes it look like you're buying an early 00's PC shovelware game.

It has an ending/evaluation sort of thing after a certain amount of time like in Harvest Moon, but the game doesn't actually end. Even if you want to go for the best possible score, you have unlimited time to keep building up your farm and get re-scored. AFIAK there's nothing in the game you can miss by screwing around for too long.

How does Enter the Gungeon work without a mouse? Does the right stick directly aim the character, or is there an on screen cursor? Because the former seems like it'd be hard to use for long range weapons and the latter would be super slow and clunky.
