Game is fun, it really reminds me of a strange combo of Orcs Must Die, Minecraft and Warframe, with Orcs Must Die being the primary influence. Haven't really had to make the kill zones like in OMD yet but I can imagine them being a thing as you level up.

So do you have to play with a team of four or will a team of 2 do fine? Basically was curious if this would be a good game for my wife and I to play or if we would have to find some randos to group with.

I've been doing it with 2 and it has been ok. I'm not on the high difficulty stuff yet though but it "seems" to scale for people.

Well I am quite pleased with this. Provided that you can get the pathing sorted out, Orcs Must Die level kill boxes are totally achievable. Got the horde to all turn this one corner filled with wall darts, electric zappers and floor spikes. With some minor supplemental shooting (save for a smasher which needed to be put down), everything died on that one corner. Floor spikes are the tar pits of this game, the husks are slowed to a crawl if they have to walk on spikes. This allows everything else the time to rearm and fire efficiently. If you absolutely know where they are going, you can supplement this with low walls in their way fitted with wall spikes and other low wall traps. Shame that traps have "ammo" associated with them. Eventually you will have to replace a trap that runs dry.

If you wanna be a trap specialist, it is completely viable. It might be possible to solo missions, though you are going to have to put down a lot of resources to do that. I hope through the later levels that trap recipes remain cheap.

The best thing is if you are next to a building with a basement. If you destroy the house and hollow out the basement, leaving no way to escape from its depths, any husk thrown in there will die. Played with some goons who assembled wall launchers facing into it. It was great fun to just watch fistfulls of husks instantly die as soon as they hit to bottom.

Also notice for everyone, the husks do take fall damage but it isn't a lot. They will be stunned by the impact though. A low level launcher is not impressive but a legendary floor launcher can catapult them about six or so wall sections up. Maybe you can assemble wall dart towers or something? I do not know yet what happens if they hit a roof.
