So the Swedish House Mafia tour is some of the most pleasantly overwhelming visuals I’ve ever seen. The threee of them are profoundly kinda weird on stage, but the lights lasers and fire kicked rear end. It’s the only edm show where there were was nothing on the big video boards but occasionally video feed off the trio on the decks. It felt like it was a time machine to about 2012 if you can find cheap tickets I’d go

I’ve seen Carl Cox 3 times he doesn’t use any video screens or lasers. I saw deadmau5 this weekend and it was good. He had video screens and lasers as part of his mini cube setup and they integrated really well with the existing side screen and lasers at Echostage. Setlist was really good. The one time I ever saw Carl Cox was at Burning Man and the videos he had playing on his screens were so over the top and overtly sexual that the crowd kind of turned on him. But also he was playing a very basic 90’s house set in 2012 at the very peak of Dubstep Wook takeover so that was probably a factor

 So I'm seeing Bonobo live for the second time tonight (first time was on the North Borders tour and it kicked rear end). I got a ticket to this months ago. Today they announce that the Preservation Hall Jazz Band is playing with him! This is gonna be so loving cool! They played with Pretty Lights when I saw him several years ago and it was so dope.
