Saw the grandfathers of EDM themselves, Kraftwerk, live for the second time tonight. It was dope! They played for like 2 hours straight and played songs from their entire career. I just looked it up and Ralf Hütter is 78 years old, so it's impressive that he can still perform like that for that long. This may be the last time I ever get to see them, so I'm really glad I got to go.

No way, he sent out this link to his email list. It is, in fact, a new album and it sounds like old Skrillex  The king is loving back, baby! It's not on Spotify yet but maybe it will be soon. e: Tears is on this though and that was already on Quest For Fire. Maybe it's just a live set? Yep, new Skrillex is pretty dope. Listened to most of it on the way to work this morning. Some of those sounds definitely gave me Recess vibes, and absolutely 'I'd love to hear this on a system' vibes - he's still got a great ear for texture and space within a patch. Also still great at throwing in little 'WOOs' and other gang vocal stabs, even if that poo poo can get corny as hell. Not sure how I feel about the whole album being mixed with the 'certified hood classics' voice. I wonder if we'll get single versions that are longer and more conducive to mixing. Saw Orbital do the Green and Brown Albums live again last night. They've chosen to return to something more like the original mix of Halcyon, which I prefer; Heaven is fun and always has great live atmosphere, but the original tune didn't need it. Satan moved to the encore to avoid any confusion over which album it's actually on - it was on Green in the US and Brown in the UK, IIRC. It does highlight how much better Brown is than Green, though - Green has some good stuff, but Brown is wall to wall bangers. The last ever live performance of the two albums is tonight, and they're livestreaming it. £5 for a ticket, and believe me it's worth it if you've never seen them live. They also celebrated the end of the tour by announcing the upcoming release of the Expanded Brown Album in May. Box versions are 4LP and 4CD, the latter including the New York 1992 live set. Half speed pressing on vinyl, but no remaster - apparently the engineer sent it straight back saying "nah, it's already perfect".
