gently caress, it's kinda hurting me to watch it because it's so good and it would be incredible to actually be there soaking in it :aaaaa:

Aren't they playing a few US dates while they're over there?

I'm in Australia and the last few times they've played here it's been at the Sydney Opera House. Which always sounds great, but it's a loving pain in the arse for dancing. Last time my friend and I ended up with big bruises up the backs of our legs from bumping the seating armrests but there's literally no way to dodge them unless you're sitting down.

If they do ever tour here again it'll probably be at the Opera house again and I'll go and end up with smashed thighs again but oh well, it might be the last time they tour here, and I'd be sad to miss that!

its cool how in 2023 chemical brothers is like trailer music for children's movies but their live set is a loving terrifying nightmare

Hahahaha the last time I saw chemical brothers live it was in 2005 and about half way through the set they had this giant scary clown face appear on the backdrop screen thing and say "YOU ARE ALL MY CHILDREN NOW" looped a few times then start maniacally laughing. I'd forgotten about that one but now it's back to haunt me, cheers :byodood:

Seeing an EDM act in Royal Albert Hall definitely seems odd to me, but then, my only exposure to RAH (as a fellow American) is, like, the London Pops and classic rock (Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd specifically). So maybe electronic acts are much more common place there than I realize.

Underworld played there in March, so maybe it's not so odd :)
