Are the Cubs/Sox games at Wrigley on in the afternoon to further discourage drinking, beyond the fact it's on a Monday and Tuesday? They really are ruining this crosstown series. I miss getting trashed on the weekend and watching drunk fans fight all game

Otherwise, why the gently caress are the Wrigley games at 1 PM on a loving Monday and Tuesday and the Cell games are in the evening? I can't even watch these on TV

re: scheduling, we have a more limited number of night games we're allowed as part of the neighborhood, so the day games have to go somewhere. In general, they hit the summer since kids are out of school. We only have 6 scheduled home games on weekdays in July (and two of those are Fridays) so they're pretty much all gonna be day games. Sox games probably make sense since they likely won't have lower show-up rates in summer since it's a prime matchup.

I always forget about the limit, I know about the tradition of day games but the limit just seems so silly. As does burning a night game on a Sunday night game when Game of Thrones is on  I just wish I could go to a Cubs-Sox game without using PTO. Or going to Guaranteed Rate Field. I am taking a half day to go to a Friday game in a couple weeks though. Fridays just make more sense than Mondays for that.

And of course Heyward swings at a pitch in the dirt and strands some runners anyway.  What a dumb IBB. Why would not just throw off the plate to Javy and see if he'll chase? If he doesn't you get your walk and the pitcher up anyway, and if he does then you've got two outs with the pitcher up.
