Watch_Dogs_2 is pretty cool though.

I'm looking forward to AC: Egypt somehow strictly because of the setting and because they copied everything from Witcher 3.

I thought Dear Esther was ok but to me its storytelling strength lied more in the environment design and not in the narration. There have been definitely better walking simulators made since its release but at the time the idea was pretty fresh especially when it was still a free mod for HL2. I liked the execution of the ending.

Game stores still exist?

I remember the PC section, at least, getting increasingly anemic over the years as Steam and other digital distribution platforms gained in popularity.
Sometimes game stores have surprisingly low deals that you can't get digitally (and the game is an empty box with a digital key anyway) so I always drop by and check out the discount shelf when I'm coincidentally near one.

For every person with a legitimate criticism against a popular and successful game there has to be an equally loud opposing force that completely misunderstood the game's gameplay or plot on a fundamental level and then spends the next half of a decade loudly complaining about how objectively terrible it is on every level whenever even the flimsiest opportunity to do so presents itself.
But enough about your posting. I can only hope you won't spend the next half of a decade loudly complaining about how much you're hurt by what other people think whenever even the flimsiest, most irrelevant opportunity presents itself :qq:.

Anyway, this thread has actually been pretty good so far and I'd like to keep it this way so talk about games and don't obsess about other people's posting and we should be good. Don't start this toxic poo poo in here.

Overwatch is enough to over-saturate the market of games that play like Overwatch.

There are several different FPS niches for Real Gamerz™ including survival games or tactical shooters but nobody wanted to play Overwatch with Gears of War aesthetics, that's a product nobody was waiting for. People would flock to a new incarnation of an Unreal/Quake-like arena shooter with high production values but that's not what Lawbreakers is either.

It's definitely going to do better than Lawbreakers. The FPS arena genre comes with its own set of hurdles though including how polished the gunplay and movement is, cut some corners and you're out even if your game is the only one on the market.

Counterstrike never appealed to me the few times that I've tried it, it seemed like a game where you could get one-shot almost immediately and then have to wait out the rest of the round.
Counter-Strike just isn't a game that you can pick up and immediately play, it has a steep learning curve and the appeal is in overcoming it. I don't blame people who don't have the patiance/time for it but it absolutely isn't a game where you get one-shot almost immediately if you know what you're doing.

One thing that Unity did good were the co-op missions which imo feature the most fun gameplay in any AC game but you need other people to play them.

Please don't talk about politics in this thread. This includes mentioning political preferences of video game creators/reviewers. Anybody who sees something like this being mentioned please report it. People itt just can't be trusted with handling a topic like this in a civilized manner so it's off the table from now on. There are subforums better suited for this on SA, go there instead. I added this to the OP.

Once again - don't talk about politics in this thread. It doesn't matter if you personally think it's super fun - it always shits up this particular thread for pages at a time as people get extremely righteous, accusatory and start throwing insults left and right. The Steam thread just isn't the right environment for this as things get toxic immediately.

At the same time there are many places on SA where you can in fact discuss it, they exist specifically for this purpose and people visiting those threads expect it so nothing is being taken away from you. Focus on games here, thank you.

Some of the normal cutscenes were even better than the sex scenes. They would go down exactly the way you'd suspect in a lovely direct-to-tv movie. The game is a true Exodus from the Earth experience.

This is 100% wrong. A pure human run through the game still has you destroy everything with ease. Upgrade your weapons.
