I'd love one where the environment itself is your antagonist, like a malfunctioning space station where there's nothing paranormal or evil going on, just a natural disaster or an accident. have you tried NaissanceE?

il_cornuto posted:I know this is a little vague, but I finally got a better laptop. My old laptop could not run games like XCOM 2, Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Witness or Shadow of Mordor. My new laptop can, on low settings, but nothing more intensive than those games - no DOOM or Prey for example. Is there anything really good that I probably couldn't play before but probably can now? Those are enough to be getting on with but I'd like to update my wishlist. Metal Gears 5 and REVENGEANCE Alien Isolation

I still have the original 4-CD set of this Shattered Planet - $1.49 (-90%) - isometric roguelike featuring short runs and progression Spice Road - $4.99 (-75%) - city-builder and trading sim also: Kingdoms of Amalamadingdong: Reckoning™ - $4.99 (-75%) Dungeonmans - $9.89 (-34%) Darkness Within 1: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder - $1.59 (-80%) - didn't this survive one of the horrorween review months? Black Closet - $7.99 (-60%) Slime Rancher - $13.39 (-33%) Sivek posted:Also someone tell me the best dungeon-crawlers on steam that have turn-based combat and aren't 15+ years old. I can't wrap my head around real-time combat in these types of games so no Grimrock or the like. I'm already well aware Grimoire is a thing that exists. Have you looked at Heroes of a Broken Land? Just seeing the name made me remember the game- I played a demo of it off a pc gamer demo disc years ago, haven't heard of it or thought of it since. It's a Diablo 2 clone but with a samurai aesthetic. No doubt it's not a good game but I am going to try it out of curiosity and nostalgia. Anyone else ever play it ? i (still) have it and it was decent.

DaveKap posted:Hey BTW I added a ton of folks just so I could see the silly names you gave items but now I'm coming to realize that there's zero way for me to keep track of who I recently added and, thus, cannot group you on my friend list the way I wanted to. Does anyone know of any reputable plug-in or program that smartly helps me sort out my Steam friend list which probably hasn't updated its code in 8 years? when I send a request to someone I go to the friends list and add details to the nickname (username and/or where from), then when the request is accepted, just move to the relevant friend group. Heat Signature just rescued strix from a rather large ship with seconds to spare. made my way through with some lucky drops and got to strix with not enough time to get back to the pod. went to the outer hull, shot a window ejecting us both and then remoted the pod to pick us up, 2 seconds before death.

Mordja posted:Happy 20th birthday to Total Annihilation! Still one of the best RTS games ever made, and one that's aged tremendously well, by and large. Believe it or not, there's still an active community at http://www.tauniverse.com/, making unofficial patches, mods, maps, and even a new engine for the game. I loved that game, I'm pretty sure I still have my original discs, too. Same for the under-appreciated sequel, too.
