Is this the first year in a while where there is no clear favorite going into the international? The clear favorite hasn't always won, but I remember that going into every TI there has been at least 1 team that everyone considered to be a step above the rest. TI3 - Alliance (we all know what happened) TI4 - Newbee (then they struggled in the group stage but came out swinging in the main event) TI5 - Secret (It's a disaster!) TI6 - Wings The closest would be what, OG, because of the major wins? But even then I wouldn't put them that far ahead of iG, EG, VP, Liquid. The field seems to be the closest its ever been. That's what I thought, I just couldn't remember if they were the favorite. Earlier in the year it was DK DK DK but I thought they had already started fading heading into TI. And then Xiao8 unretired and joined Newbee and everyone expected them to make serious waves. Kuku and Raven are seriously good players and they showed it there. 1437 is a great captain as well. The PA pick was inspired, once she got rolling EG literally could not kill her, and that was without a bkb (which was pretty ballsy).

IGV and TNC should have been easy points (TNC somewhat less easy). If they want to be near the top of the group those were 2-0s they needed to get.
