So what is going on with Eric Thames. My eyes say that while his discipline has deteriorated a bit, it's not nearly enough to account for the huge decrease in hits. It does look like he's made contact with a lot of balls that have gone straight to a fielder. I'm wondering how much if that is just bad luck and how much of that is having a predictable spray chart that lets other teams to take ideal alignments on him.

I'm calling Keon Broxton "Black Reynolds" from now on. Brewers are getting somewhat back on track (partially because I think they're just trying to have fun again instead of worrying about playoffs), but Thames is sitting a lot in this last stretch and I just wonder how they expect him to work out his discipline issues if he doesn't play. If Aguilar is the everyday 1b now I'm fine with that, but they should just say so because it's real loving dumb that a utility infielder was playing left instead of Thames today with Braun on the bench.
