Raluek posted:i know that, but there are two forms of magsafe 1 chargers, one that's shaped like a magsafe 2 but shorter (which I have) and one that's round and blocks your ethernet port if you put it in backwards (which apparently my laptop should have). go look at a 2008 macbook charger the tube version, rev 2, was kinda a mess. it was a better desk solution with more retention but it completely ruined the quick release benefit by changing the angle of release. i have both with the adapter as backups for my system and both are awkward with the conversion dongle
