yes

No, looking forward to something you enjoy is not sad.

If I had to choose between The Orville and Discovery I‘d go with The Expanse.

However, I enjoy all three of them and want them to continue.

Ironically, GURM did that primarily because he was sick of main characters having plot armor all the time. Now that the unexpected death thing is so common as to be a cliche, he'd probably do the exact opposite and have miraculous survivals and weird comebacks and poo poo.

So the Orville is now one of the very few shows where the usage of the term “head cannon” is actually correct.

Re: Star Control Origins

I am currently playing it, and regardless what you think about the Stardock bullshit, the actual developers of that game did a good job of making a very decent Star Control game. Despite not using any of the original aliens species (except for the Ariloulaley, kinda), they are all creative, well and humorously written. The game regularly gets chuckles out of me. “ We have found a toasted alien spaceship. Literally. The aliens were all bread based..

I think my only complaint is that it did not really improve all that much on the original formula or add anything to it.

Yeah, personally I would like to see more world- and less character building. So more episodes with an outward focus.
