Fwiw I met Ron outside the Stand last year and he was a super nice guy. I loving embarrassed to walk up and tell him I was a fan (my wife goaded me into it) but Ron was extremely gracious and even asked us a bunch of questions about where we were from, our kids etc. Nice dude, really nice dude. Zero sign of the gruff radio tough act.

You know who's pretty fun in the mornings (unless his unabashed progressive politics turn you off) is Pete Dominick on 121 at 9am. He's got 3 producers who are stand-ups and they get some great lines in here and there. It's usually half journalists / authors talking about issues and half comedians doing a 'hang' Pete also has tons of vocal tics that he picked up from listening to Anthony. It's funny to hear them if like me you listened to O&A for years.

I really enjoyed the slow decline into silent Fez. It will be the weirdest thing on radio forever. My favorite was when callers would be furious, just screaming at Fez to talk and support Ron and consider all the money he's getting paid to do nothing, etc etc, just frothing at the mouth from word one. Then: Ron: Any response to that Big Cat? Fez: <audible sigh>

Frank Conniff was great on Fugelsangs show but he got fired for calling Chris Christie fat too many times. I dont even know where to go anymore for my daily dose and its bumming me out. Bonfire or Chapo just dont do it for me, they're both pale imitations of the real thing.
