He was constantly itching for a move back to New York and believed that all his problems would be solved once he was back there - but hey, mental illness doesn't work that way. It's strangely compelling listening to all the archives of R&F stuff on youtube especially when they're not in chronological order - a real mixture of feeling sorry for Fez and his problems, then being really frustrated and annoyed by him in the next clip. Ron & Fez did typically burn through producers really quick - I guess the nature of the type of show they did was pretty demanding. Probably made worse by the additional pressure put on the producers when one of the main hosts is mute for 95% of a show. Fez also really took a massive dislike to him once he was hired. Still, Fez making Shelby to go to Thanksgiving dinner with him and pretend to be his twink lover to upset his elderly mother is peak Ron & Fez.

I got into Ron & Fez pretty late, I think the show might even have finished before I started going back through the old archives - thanks to whoever originally linked the madness that was the Midnight Rider saga on here. He seemed to be doing pretty well happiness wise after leaving the show. Whenever he called in he was like the old Fez again. Though seeing the pictures from the Thanksgiving shows and the funeral for Ron's dad, it seems like he never really got his diet under control. It's amazing he lasted as long as he did. Everything from organisation to production pieces and booking guests. He was discussing his upcoming employee review and though he deserved something like a 10-15% pay raise after 3 months in the job. Followed this immediately with the Grammy recording incident. Such a thoroughly odd man.
