Catching up with this thread; it's been a fun ride! Cheers for the summary and links to all of the ancillary reading.

Just wanted to note, after reading the acknowledgements filibuster: I've published several academic books over the years, alone and with co-authors, and my acknowledgements pages combined don't include that many people (and this is a combination of books that involved mulit-contributors, a lot of archival help, various people who worked on the research teams, and one book that included a group of 100+ volunteers who worked through a data survey).

No wonder I've never made the NYT best seller list :smith:
